After six months of 'surge', why don't we let Bush and Cheney walk around the block in Downtown Baghdad. If they can do it without filling their shorts, then the surge was a success. If not, we withdraw our troops and let them kill each other to their little hearts content.

And yes, I am a Republican, NOT a neocon.

Firstly I say 'used to' only because I have not heard of it happening recently although I will happily retract this statement.

I have read a lot of literature about the Naval forces of the world during WW1/2 (both miltary and merchant) and am startled by the unmber of Captains who chose to stay on board a doomed ship, and I was wondering why?

Is it because they felt linked to their vessel, and as such their failure to get the ship safely to port meant they were no longer fit to command (and therefore live)?

Did they only do this when there will still crew/ passengers left on board who couldn't be rescued (If they don't go, neither do I,'), or did it still happen was everyone else was either dead or rescued?

I am intrigued as I find this behaviour very brave and herois, although somewhat pointless- what's the point in losing one more man who could be saved, or of staying with what is, essentially, merely a big (albeit well crafted) lump of steel on it's way to the bottom?

Exactly what do I need and where can I go to get all the forms? The uscis.gov and travel.state.gov sites are not clear enough about the k-1 visa. What is my FIRST step in this process? My fiance is from Mexico. I've talked to an immigration attorney and he wants 1800 dollars to do everything. Please help and if you can give me a direct link to where I need to go that would be great.

In terms of Bush's place in history, I think he will be remembered alongside the greatest presidents including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ronald Reagan, and a fellow Republican by the name of Abraham Lincoln. Now, I can't list ALL Bush Accomplishments with such a short amount of space (and time), but I will list a couple of things this great man has done.

1) Bush has reestablished good Christian Values in the White House, and America at large (Lord knows we needed it after the Clinton administration).
2) Bush has made us safe from terrorists through his audacious military efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq.
3) Bush has continuously fought for Middle Class Americans by cutting taxes. A move that also saved the Economy!
4) Bush has raised educational standards for our kids by starting the "no child left behind" program.

I can go on and on with Bush's accomplishments. There are just too many of them to mention because he's one of the best President's ever!

I opened a barclays bank account one year ago, on new years eve someone copied my details and stole all of the money. Whilst the fraud dept are dealing with this and the police, no one is returning my calls to let me know what is going on, also i have been left with no money. The bank have not yet returned my money, even though they do agree its fraud, also I am receiving invoices all the time for this dude whos used the account-should they not be doing something to be on to him?I have had to use a credit card (which did have a balance of zero)etc for financial support as i do not have family members, i was also in the process of buying my own home. Am i entitled to compensation and who do i get it from?

That Bush, Cheney and their NEOCON philosophy have nothing to do with Republican Conservatism of Fiscal prudency, committment to Flag and Country and above all the right of every American to be free under the Constitution.

The NEOCONS are a criminal cabal that have hijacked a party that gave total loyalty to them, misguidedly.
