IF NOT HILLARY, WHO DO YOU THINK WILL BE?

Improbable. It doesn't really matter if anyone loves you or not, but it's a huge problem in the general election if many people hate you--and many people hate her.

It's really very early, given how wide-open this election is, but if I had to guess, I would say that by '08 it will be a race to the center, led by:

Hagel or Gingrich (GOP)
vs.
Richardson or Gore (Dems)

Of course, the wind could blow the other way and the Right Wing Evangelical Wacko wing of the GOP could regain its footing, and then they would put forth Brownback, and similarly, the Democrats could forget their current fighting spirit and return to their tradition of choosing the most unelectable nominee (who is popular with Blue voters but has zero chance in the general election)--which could well be Clinton after all.

But no way will Clinton win the general election. And the worst thing that could happen for this country is for the Democrats to run an unelectable Democrat against a right-wing extremist like Brownback, because we could end up with another Christian Fundamentalist-dominated Administration, and you see how well that's worked this time around...

I'm not sure, but are we really going to let that embarassment of a husband back into the white house? He committed adultery in the oval office and then lied about it. Then he just bit his lip and said he was sorry (I sure didn't buy it). There is no way he should be allowed back in there. I've got nothing against Hillary, but that guy needs to go.

I think our next President will be Obama. Republicans are not going to very popular by 2008, and I think people will be infinitely more comfortable with a black male than a white female as leader. Why? Simple:

-Racial problems with a group of people with equal political power has only existed for a little more than 100 years.

-Gender problems between men and women have been going on for over two millenia.

It's much more acceptable in most people's minds to pick a black leader than a female one, simply because the stigma against them is much younger and thus easier to overcome.

I like Hillary and think she has interesting ideas and good workable vision of America. Unfortunately, the Clintons strike a raw nerve with enough right wingnuts in the south and the rocky mountain states that I'm not sure that she is electable.

Hagel, Biden or Edwards look good right now but Gov Bill Richardson of New Mexico would win if he decides to run

McCain will self destruct Obama lacks experience.

She's too hated. I don't think she'll make it. Then again, I never thought Kerry would have been the Democratic nomination in '04.

If I had my way, the tickets would be:

Bill Richardson and Wesley Clark for the Democrats
vs.
Chuck Hagel and Ron Paul for the Republicans

(Of course, things never go my way in politics.)

Obama's cool and all, but he lacks experience.

Most of the other Republican candidates are either crazy or megalomaniacs. And most of the other Democratic candidates are the same.

Billary I am sure will be the next President of USA. Bill shall continue to share her load, with his vast experience. He has bigger following and supporters than her. This was evident in Monica Lewinski's case. He is a smart player and works in background.

She has a good shot because she also has Bill to get feedback from. Nothing like having an experienced eight-year president in your pocket.
We are stil a year away from really seeing the field. Anything could happen between now and then.

I HOPE NOT, but I think she does stand a chance... I really hope Rudolph W. Giuliani runs and wins, I think he will make a very good president. I think, which I am pretty certain, the next president will be a Democrat. WE WILL BE CRYING FOR BUSH TO BE BACK THEN....

hopefully she will never be able to call the white house home again. her husband made enough of a laughing stock of it already.
who wins depends on who runs. there are a few good candidates from both sides, it can go either way, depending on who gets their parties nomination.
I think that hillary is too unpopular with too many different groups to actually win the office, but her name may be enough to win her the slot to run as the Dem candidate.
we shall see next year.
