I'm as skeptical of Bush as the next guy, but I don't think he will want to spend what little is left of his political legacy on pardoning someone convicted of exposing the identity of a CIA operative. If the charges are true, this is about as close to treason as it gets.

Concerning Cheney and Rove, let's wait and see what comes out in this trial. It may be that information may emerge exposing them to more culpability than once thought. If things seem to not be going Libby's way, let alone if he is convicted, he may be more forthcoming than he has been to this point. After all, in the pre-trial investigations, he didn't have to answer questions that weren't asked.

Given Bush's lame duck status, it would not shock me if right before going out of office he pardoned Libby, if Libby were to be found guilty, which I am not sure will happen. Bush has never shyed away from looking out for cronies before. If Cheney or Rove were going to be found guilty, they would have been indicted by now, they are not going to be found guilty.

I think Bill Clinton has the most experience at pardons. Such being the case, assuming Hillary wins in '08, the responsibility will be hers.

That only pertains to Scooter(only one charged re: this).....and if he is found guilty...maybe. They did throw him to the wolves....so to speak.

They are not going to charge Rove.

DC will testify......and that should be interesting!
