I do not agree with legalising all drugs. Most of the synthetic chemicals being produced and pushed today are nothing but poison, so commonsense says legalisation is not a smart move. The other side is marijuana. In our current situation in the US war on drugs, the government enforcement agencies waste too much time chasing after small time marijuana smokers, and not enough time worrying about real poisons like methamphetamines. There is also the taxation benefit that could be realised if marijuana where legalised.
So, in answer to your question, while I think smoking marijuana is a stupid choice, the benefits of freeing up law enforcement and allowable taxes support legalising small amounts (1 ounce or so) of possesion of marijuana.

There are "legal" and "illegal" drugs.
Both can be misused!
Illegal drugs are catergorized by what's known as the Controlled Substance Act. This "act" places certain drugs into "schedules" I through V based upon their 1) medical use; 2) potential for abuse; and 3) potential for addiction.
Prescription drugs may be legally prescribed by doctors yet we often tend to "self medicate" taking the drugs in a manner that we're not supposed to....next thing you know...we're stealing from others with the same prescription because we've become addicted!
Consider what would happen if someone were driving down the road killing you, your family, or friends because they were "high" and unable to navigate a car properly. Better yet...why not have major surgery with your surgeon "high."
I'd say that the "experts" determine the above criteria and therefore if they say they shouldn't be used...I'm all for it!
Best wishes!

marijuana, mescalin, mushrooms = YES : these have been proven to be neither addicting, or deadly if used properly. Not counting the fact that marijuana is not only non deadly, but also medicinal.
All addicting, chemical based drugs I.E. meth, coke, ect.= NO
they are too addicting and harmful to the body.
Ps. Marijuana was only made illegal (by president Nixon, the only pres to be impeached) because he thought it would make the "hippie" anti war activists move away or stop thinking that way.

Yes, and I don't even use drugs(or alcohol). I am a libertarian and believe that the government should have no say on what you put into your own body.
