what is the number of U.S.orphans created from U.S. casualties in the Iraq war?

maybe orphans is not the right word. perhaps, how many children did the casualties leave behind. for instance, on msnbc a story of the twelve troops who died in a shoot down of a helicopter last week, all national guard members, left 42 children behind.

Maybe the question should have been how many children will never see their father.

Don't even presume to tell me that the loss of your father in a doomed ungodly insane war is not a trauma that goes away

It DOESN"T go away sam and maybe you believe that there ius someone to take care of them but there is NOT

SGTD did YOU ever lose a father to a war that neither he or anyone else believed in? If not you ought not be making up sweet little theories on how that works.

Listen to Sgt. D! I think the actual number of orphans is probably 0. Most military personel with children also have a spouse. That leaves one parent behind. Doesn't really matter, though. We take care of our brave here in America. If you are so fed up with the war and hate the fact that we have brave men and women over there fighting it, MOVE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY! try Iraq!

0 There are no "Orphans" of Military Personel killed in the line of duty in Iraq. Here in the US we take care of our own and the child of a slain GI (Yes, Slain by those terrorist monsters) Is taken care of either by friends or family of that Soldier. If you are insinuating that there are kids of dead GI's out wandering the streets for food and shelter, you are one non-informed person. Why don't you take a ride to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and see first hand what our military is willing to sacrifice to keep America safe from these terrorists?

Both parents killed in Iraq? I don't think the number is a high as you think. Children that lose one parent Mother or Father is probably high. I wonder if the military keeps track of those stats.

I'm not completely sure about that number. But if you find out it is wrong, could you also find out how many people were freed from an oppressive gov't who murdered, raped, and tortured people for no reason, other than their bloodline?

Are you also trying to tell us that if there is a casualty of war, that war should not have been fought?

None. Their families have laid down their lives for us and it is now our responsibility to make sure they are loved, taken care of and connected in some way to the heroic behavior of their loved ones.
