The office would remain vacant unless filled under the 25th Amendment (Presidential appointment, with confirmation by both houses of Congress). While vacant, the Speaker of the House would be first in the line of Presidential succession.
Actually, this wouldn't happen immediately on impeachment. That is only the bringing of charges by the House. The office would become vacant only on conviction by the Senate.
