yes i hope they come home asap my neighbors son is there and we are all so worried they have his 3 year old son with them and i'd hate for him to loose his daddy . cutting the funding would maybe do the trick but would jepordise the troops already over there. if i rember correctly this whole bs war was so he could get sadam (cuz he tried ti kill his daddy) even though they said it was 9-11 which it was not it was hallburton that made them go over and now its time to end this and bring back our young men and women who never should have been subjected to this horrific unjust war not to mention the women and children that have needlessly died from bushes greed so yes yes yes but i doubt that it would happen soon when you have such a stupid power hungary moron in a place of power it's hard to remove them or bring them to their sences........

As much as the raging cons would like to believe otherwise and sling their epithets, Russ has more on the ball than Bush, or any one of them.

Point for point, Russ is a better man than Bush any day. Why don't people do a little research and compare their bios and political accomplishments?

For what it's worth - moot point - THERE'S a debate I'd pay big $$ to attend; Bush vs Feingold. Russ would rip him good.

If the troops pull out now the finished operation become for no longer some thing....it is going to easily be like Vietnam....this variety of tremendous number of squaddies sacrificed, a lot money spent and this variety of tremendous number of can provide made.... Iraq will slide right into a civil conflict and not using a authorities able to administration the country and it is going to develop into the perfect base for Al Quaida. We ought to stay so long because the Iraqis are able to provide their own safe practices and for this reason income the purpose of this conflict: A democratic Iraq with a company authorities and a powerful best chum of the west!

Contrary to what the Bush administration says, the real victims of the "chaos" created by an American withdrawal from Iraq would be the neighboring countries of Iran and Syria. Iran is using us to control a situation that it has no desire or capacity to handle.
The only power that Congress has to influence an inept or uncompromising President is the power of the purse.

Yes, we have been there almost four years and the situation is just getting worse and worse day by day. It is time to end Bush's incompetent handling of Iraq. If Bush won't listen to the people of this nation and theirs(the Iraqi Congress sent a letter to Bush asking him to remove the troops), it is time for impeachment.

No.

If we took the coalition troops out now, there *WILL* be chaos and a civil war. It would destabilize the whole region.

If we can can recruit and train a professional, well-run Iraqi army and police force, then maybe - *maybe* - we can avoid that civil war.

But I don't have any high hopes for that. I've reached the conclusion that the area won't change until the great majority of the people who live there decide to change.

No. To leave the mess now would be short-sighted and foolish. If you think the situation is bad now, imagine how bad it will be if we leave. I think cutting funds will only hurt the troops who are already there. You know how stubborn Bush is... you think he's going to withdraw just because Congress cuts funding?

No, I do not. Right or wrong, we committed to Iraq when we invaded. To leave now would leave the country to be continually terrorised by islamic extremists. We need to stay the course, and work on realistic bipartisan solutions instead of political games and subterfuge at home. Iraq is a country that is very fragile, and we need to help their transition into a free and democratic nation of their choosing.

A postulation for you to ponder:
officials like Russ are the fictionist that make this a fact--The Military despises Democratic Liberals and their Henchpeople

Strongly disagree.

Feingold knows better. Leaving before stabilizing Iraq would create a greater bloodbath among other consequences.

For once, I'd love to hear Democrats shout to the world that they want to DEFEAT TERRORISM!
