The alleged speeding offence occurred on 4th November 2006 but I did not receive notification of prosecution until 20th December 2006, some 45 days later. I understood that the initial notification had to be received within 14 days of the offence. If this is correct - can I argue the case to avoid further points on my licence and fine. Also if I am not offered Speed Awareness Course and as i was only doing 36 in a 30 zone, they often do offer these in Lancashire - can I ask for one instead of the points etc.

I mean honestly, do you really think America is going to be able to stop a civil war that has been fought for thousands and thousands of years by blowing up more people in that nation? What is the point of this stupid war?

As long as they have "worked" in this country for 18 months.

If you are an American citizen you have to work 10 years before you qualify.

This agreement to allow this to immigrants is on Bush's desk right now waiting on his signature.

Why aren't you Liberals just IN LOVE with Bush for this type of thing?

We have a new policy in place as of 01/01/07 within our office, that requires a medical diagnosis from the Doctor whenever we take time off (paid sick-time) from work for a Medical Appointment. We are already required a medical excuse after three absences in one year for illness, family illness, etc.. But now, as I understand it, they want a medical diagnosis from the Doctor on that excuse. I guess if you are ill, (cold, flu, etc.), I might agree with this, (since we do have those usual office sick-time abusers, as everyone does!!), but I wonder if it is legal when you only leave work for a short time for a routine medical exam? Someone might be being treated for a medical condition that they wish to remain confidential, but that may require regular monitoring by their physician. It is causing quite a "stir" within our office! As I understand it, this is NOT a violation of the HIPPA Act, since that only covers health care providers, insurance, etc.. Any info, anyone? Is this legal?

We (the general public) elect people into comfortable jobs and give them power over our lives. We elect them to have better lives then us and to be treated on a higher level. When a president dies, why does his death mean so much more than anyone elses? Recently there was a shooting in Tacoma, Washington. Instead of covering this on tv, Gerald Ford's funeral was being shown. I think a story like this deserves more coverage then his funeral.

FOUR youths of Middle Eastern background have pleaded guilty on charges including the rape and sexual assault of two 14-year-old Caucasian girls near a Melbourne train station.

It is alleged that one of the gang members later threatened to kill the victims for reporting the attack to police.Four boys in the gang of six are facing 21 charges including rape, indecent assault, procuring sex by threats and intimidation, making threats to kill and sexual penetration of a child under 16.

All four have entered guilty pleas in a Children’s Court.

It is believed the gang of six, aged 16 and 17, staged an elaborate stunt to lure their victims to an isolated industrial area where they took it in turns to violate the girls, who tried to resist.

The mob allegedly jeered and laughed as they forced themselves on their terrified victims, demanding sex and sexual favours in exchange for a mobile phone they had stolen from the girls.

It's not a personal email, and it isn't to someone I know very well. I was asking an author a question about their work, and they responded to me. However, I have now learned that the author has included the email I sent her in her new book. I'm not just interested in the money, I'm more interested in making a point - she has used 1000s of emails people have sent her to make up this book. Is there any way I could make a claim on the royalties, or we could all group together and do that?

we have so may arm chair quarterbacks who constantly complain about the President and every thing else ? so where are the suggestions, it is easy to tell some one how wrong they are, so why not make a suggestion as how to rectify the problem?
I feel if you don't have a suggestion then why are you complaining
as you are no smarter than the one you are complaining about.
if this is the case , how do you know something else would work better?

I see that the U.S. military no long has the capability to fight the war without paying mercenaries for aids. Obviously, this is not a good characteristic of a country, especially for a dominant country like the U.S. Would this ultimately hurt the U.S. in a long run? Have we lost our ways of fighting with our own power? Yes, we have power to pay, but the meaning of the help is not the same. I'm not trying to criticize or siding, but I would like to know what people think about this issue. One thing you might want to know is that these are not the same mercenaries that you might be thinking of. They usually provide training and back up aids that do not require much of physical combats. But this means that they are the main key of operating attacks and defences in Iraq.

Ehren Watada is a US army lieutenant who is one of the first officers to refuse to serve in Iraq because the war there is illegal.

After all, he is NOT a conscientious objector and has requested to fight in Afghanistan, but the army doesn't care.

1. Legalize, tax, and regulate marijuana, prostitution and gaming
2. Set maxium sentences at 5 years, during which the convict is participating in a work release or if vilent a work inside program where 50% of their wages are taken for cost of confinement, another 25% is placed in a fund which reemburses victims of crime, 10% is place into an intrest bearing savings for their release and the rest they can spend at the canteen.
A. studies show that after 5 yeaars one becomes institutionalized.
B. For violent crime s such as murder , first degree assult, rape, child molestation , and other horrid crimes give the death penality
3. All death sentences are allowed one appeal within 90 days and all death warrants are to be carried out by day 100.
