Since they owe so much of their livelyhoods to big tobacco and the cans of legal worms that sueing tobacco companies have opened?

'Lack of personal responsibility' suits alone have increased the lawyer forces by millions!

Finally. Someone nails it on the head.

I think when tobacco companies started being treated differently than all other companies, America suffered a fate worse than lung cancer. Not only can they not advertise, but now they actually have to pay money to tell consumers not to use their products. Stalin, Marx, and Engles would have loved it!!!

If WE don't believe in free will, who else would? Some beacon of freedom we turned out to be.

Yes, if they are as grateful as they should be, they should smoke 2 packs a day!

Do you really think ALL lawyers "owe so much of their livelyhoods (sic) to big tobacco..."?

I have nothing to do with "big tobacco," but I believe in personal responsibility.

I do not, however, subscribe to tort reform. The problem of frivolous suits can be handled by enforcing the laws already on the books. We do not need new laws that won't be enforced.

Thank God for our right to sue the criminal tobacco companies who have killed millions of innocent Americans.

they were unsuccessful at suing the tobacco companies most recently for 'light' cigarettes...the days of making a livlihood off of it are over...even though they have tried to replace it with suing fast food joints for making people fat...they have also been shot down on those attempts
