First of all you must admit that not every question has an answer...... There is a lot of prejudice in the group... because for a such a valid question of yours there are negative ratings....The answer to your question is very simple......Sadam was hanged because he protested against Big Bully USA, I am not refuting that he commited so many crimes like the genocides etc..... What i wanted to convey is that, if you are the biggest economy and have the support of UN, you don't have to heed to any rules.... This is now evident with bush's action..

and Peace Propoganda and the Promised Land http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7828123714384920696&q=peace+propoganda+and+the+promised+land

These are some of the excelent documentaries which unearth the truth.

I read many international newspaper and the letters sent to the editors of the newspaper. No doubt that people commiting commiting crimes and voiolence should be punished and he deserved to be punished for the crimes against his countrymen but it is so obvious the trial was not fair.

Bush and his advisors are resposnible for the death of100000s of innocent lives which includes children, women, old people.

Oddly enough, starting a war under false pretenses isn't generally considered a war crime! (Rationally, I know you could make a good case--but whoever said people are always rational?).

"War crimes" are usually alleged in regard to the conduct of a conflict--not the conflict itself. For instance, Saddam's war against Iran was not considered a "war crime" but his use of poison gas very well could have been--though they never got around to prosecuting him for that one.

So Bush's invasion of Iraq isn't going to be viewed as a war crime (regardless of the circumstances). But--hypothetically speaking--if it were to be shown he had approved torture of prisoners, that might very well lead to charges of war crimes--in theory at least; in practice that would almost certainly not happen (why? To be blunt, the US is too powerful to be subject to international law unless its voluntary--and we're not going to allow any President to be subject to such prosecution--whatever we might do internally to deal with such a case. That's not a political position on my part--just the realities of politics and power.

But that's all just hypothetical, right? :)

The World Court can judge, which is where Bush is heading!

Violating international law and violating treaties by setting up SECRET CIA operated torture camps outside the US is a war crime! Something Bush denied until they found his little camp in Poland!

And U Guys, Congress never declared a war!!!

You are innocent about the facts leading to the death of Saddam. He was not tried for war crimes. It is for the crimes he committed against his own men, Kurds- for killing the innocent Kurd people, he had been convicted and sentenced to death. Saddam defended his action, without any remorse, in the court that tried him. Nobody need to shed tears over a tyrant's death.
