As long as they have "worked" in this country for 18 months.

If you are an American citizen you have to work 10 years before you qualify.

This agreement to allow this to immigrants is on Bush's desk right now waiting on his signature.

Why aren't you Liberals just IN LOVE with Bush for this type of thing?

God....I am half tempted to claim to be an illegal immigrant. Free healthcare, social security after 18 months........I'd get more benifits from the government for breaking the law?

I can't wait for the day they come to take our homes so we can house them b@$tards. "Sorry son this family is here against the law....but they need a place to live"

Incognitas: "bonified"? Is that a steak or something?? Do you mean with bona fide documents?

I'm a legal immigrant, by the way. I have been here for over 30 years and I have never applied for public welfare. In fact, you must sign a document saying that you will not go on welfare for 2 years after arrival in the U.S. U.S. citizens can receive social security payments as soon as they are born. No 10-year wait.

exciting concept, you will evaluate looking into how "undesirable" the social protection issues are. The estimates of problem are in keeping with 50 12 months financial projections with heavily conservative estimates of enhance besides as incredibly intense estimates in different regards (survival rates, etc.) This have been given diverse press because of the fact Wall highway would quite like to have Social protection funds thrown into industry, yet once you quite think of approximately it the belief is loopy. Princeton financial Paul Krugman has written some great stuff with regard to the specifics, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it is not even that complicated. The worst case concern (the single that is argued by skill of proponents of SS reform) is that for the period of approximately 50 years our taxes will purely cover 80% of predicted reward. financial projections 50 years into the destiny are not nicely worth very lots to me, and there's a distinction between "bankrupt" and "mildly underfunded." Have look- i think of you would be pleasantly stunned.

what a bunch of racists bigots here.

1- if you need to work 10 years to qualify then you re doing something wrong, try studying, or you are probably a silly housewife who enjoys bitching at your teaparties to your other bored clueless housewives on such serious issues
2-Working 18 months or years shouldnt allow them to qualify for social security as loong as they are illegal, they should regularise their situation 1st
3-the exploiting parties who enjoy cheap labour so that you can in return enjoy cheap clothes or cheap prices thanks to some illegal working double shift for 2 bucks an hours should be jailed for illegal slavery

I would definitely not give illegal aliens any Social Security benefits... now if they're legal, and I mean with bonified docs, then they should get back what they put in.

Illegal immigrants shouldn't qualify for anything except for a trip to jail and then back to their country.
