for a police officer to give a citation for a moving violation on private property? I had heard that there was some statute against it but is it true?

The original question was: Why do liberals point their fingers and blame Bush for the war in Iraq, but yet, they fail to mention the fact that the most infamous conflict the U.S. was ever involved in-Vietnam-was initiated by John F. Kennedy and perpetuated by Lyndon Johnson, who both happened to be Democrats? Isn't it funny how liberals try to claim Gerald Ford lost the Vietnam conflict, but it was the Democrat controlled congress that ultimately cut the funding for the war, forcing us to pull out?

Oh, and the Monroe doctrine is not a good answer, either.

Isn't it also funny how the liberals keep bringing up the loss of 3000 troops when by this timeframe in Vietnam, the number of deaths was considerably higher?

There were so many mistakes made by Hitler during the war I believe he lost the war for Germany with his refusal to listen to his generals and conduct the war as he saw fit. Here are a few mistakes.
#1 The Germans failure to capture the British Army at Dunkirk, Hitler stopped his army short and allowed the British to escape. This gave the British hope, If the Germans would have captured the bulk of the British professional army on the beaches of France who knows how different things would be. #2 Operations in North Africa, Rommel was asking for reinforcements the entire time he was fighting the British, Hitler refused, only relenting when America landed an army behind Rommels Army. Hitler poured in 500,000 troops but it was too late. The Afrika Corps was trapped between two armies and crushed. If Hitler had Given Rommel his reinforcements earlier he could have pushed up into the Middle East and secured the vast oil reserves needed to fuel the German war machine. Opinions?

Why doesn't the post office only deliver the mail ever other day instead of every day? The only difference would be that instead of getting 4 to 5 credit card offers every day you would get 8 to 10 every other day.

I know laws vary, but is it generally understood that the landlord of a property is supposed to keep your walkway clear and safe?

We've had an unusually horrific dumping of snow and ice, and the whole city is out of snow shovels. My landlord lives next door and has one, but he hasn't shoveled my walkway.

I plan to ask him, but I want to know the law/requirement first.

Let me explain my situtation. I recently bought a World of Warcraft account cheaply, cause I thought I could sell it for more. I sold it, and then, after the guy sent me the money he says the account got "hacked". I don't know if its the seller who took it or the guy who bought it off me. When I checked later at a forum, it turns out that the account was a hacked account, so the guy who sold it to me probably hacked it or got it through some random method. Now, the guy who bought it off me is in GERMANY, and payed me 300 Euros. I live in the United Arab Emirates. He only has my name,city, and he sent it via Western Union. I didn't know anything wrong, but break a Blizzard rule about selling an account, but should I get blamed? He says hes going to sue me. But look at the facts:

1) Sueing me would probably cost more than 300 Euros...
2) Coming over to the UAE would cost around $1000, which is around 700-800 Euros.

And I provided ALL the information of the account.

What should I do?

and tells everything very moderately, which is what people like to hear. He is not controverial or different (like a woman or minority). The dems would be suicidal if they don't run him (in my opinion). I forget his name but I think he ran unsuccessfully for VP last time. Do you think he will be chosen by the dems or will they wack themselve out again with a strange' cadidate.

Davidson County sheriff's deputies will begin checking the immigration status of every foreign-born person who passes though the Metro Jail under a new program, department officials announced today.The approval, announced today, comes in response to a request by Davidson County Sheriff Daron Hall to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement bureau, seeking a federal immigration computer system and full-time immigration officer placed in the county jail.

Metro police Chief Ronal Serpas and Gov. Phil Bredesen have voiced support for the program.

Hall's request comes after several high-profile crimes after which illegal immigrants were charged. In some cases, the immigrants had been arrested repeatedly in the midstate, without being processed through the federal immigration system.

Nashville's program is patterned after a similar effort in Charlotte, N.C. That city's program has been praised by the sheriff there and by some local officials. It has also raised questions, however, about whether zealous police officers are improperly targeting immigrants and whether federal authorities can handle the increased number of detainees.

The next step in the process for Davidson County's program, calls for federal and local officials to negotiate a Memorandum of Understanding. No date has been announced for the negotiations.

In light of the recent execution, how do you feel about the death penalty?

Do you agree with hanging as opposed to the electric chair?

If this country had a fair penal system I would be all for it. The country doesn't so I'm against it for that reason.

My great uncle called my parents and told them there was a saftey deposit box in my grandfathers name, his brother, that was in a local bank. My grandfather passed away about 7 years ago and everyone thinks he was murdered by my uncle, who is benefactor of the will. When we heard of the box we went to the bank and they said we couldn't open it unless we were executor of the will. My great uncle was on the saftey deposit box's emergency numbers list. Is there anyway for my parents or my great uncle to get what is inside the box? Is there a statute of limitations on wills? This all happened in north carolina, any hekp is appreciated.

Although her VISA is from 11 Aug.06 to 11 Feb.07 she arrives in UK on Nov.06.What I understand is, you can Enter UK WITHIN that period and the 6 months starts when you actually landed British soil. Will somebody clarify this, please. Does she need to Apply for VISA Extension to stay beyond 11 Feb.07, if is so, where to get an Application Form, where to SEND/Apply, etc?
