There were so many mistakes made by Hitler during the war I believe he lost the war for Germany with his refusal to listen to his generals and conduct the war as he saw fit. Here are a few mistakes.
#1 The Germans failure to capture the British Army at Dunkirk, Hitler stopped his army short and allowed the British to escape. This gave the British hope, If the Germans would have captured the bulk of the British professional army on the beaches of France who knows how different things would be. #2 Operations in North Africa, Rommel was asking for reinforcements the entire time he was fighting the British, Hitler refused, only relenting when America landed an army behind Rommels Army. Hitler poured in 500,000 troops but it was too late. The Afrika Corps was trapped between two armies and crushed. If Hitler had Given Rommel his reinforcements earlier he could have pushed up into the Middle East and secured the vast oil reserves needed to fuel the German war machine. Opinions?

Niether was all that important really. If the brits had lost the army on the beaches they would have been replaced later as the UK geared up for all out war. As to Rommel the real hassle for him wasn't Hitler though he was a pain it was the British navy which was sinking supplies at a furious rate so finding new cargo ships and tankers was becoming a problem and aerial suppling wasn't practical either as these were regularly intercepted and shot to pieces. Hitlers real mistake was letting the UK continue on and then hitting Russia and the mightest mistake of all he declared war on the USA that meant he now had three major enemies to take on at once always a suicidal move. German could never have won the war as Russia was simply too big to conquer and Germany still didn't have a big enough navy to secure outside resources like oil and tungsten or copper.

If Hitler had let his Generals run the war odds are they would have won. Hitler tried to command armies in the field from a bunker outside of Berlin. This cost Germany a lot of forces and equipment that could have been used. If The British had not escaped at Dunkirk the British army would have been severely depleted in available manpower when time came for D-Day. While they may have been able to get a force of the same size the loss of experienced soldiers would have had a telling effect on the way the battle played out. Also Several units were destroyed by the Russsians because Hitler would not let the field commanders adjust to new threats.

Those are some great examples of how Hitler lost the war that I had not heard.
I read The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich several years ago and it was fascinating.
One of Hitler's biggest blunders was launching the war too soon. If he had listened to his generals and waited just two or three more years to build up his air force and navy, the Nazis might have succeeded.
I think the allies still would have won ultimately, but the war would have lasted a lot longer and been a lot worse even then it was.

Hitler's biggest blunder is the attack on the Soviet Union. More than one-half of the whole German armed forces was in the Eastern Front fighting the Russians. The Germans killed in the war with Russia is more than 2 million, compared to more than a million Germans killed against the Anglo-American forces.
If Hitler have not made this blunder, the Germans would have allocated their full strength and have easily defeated the Anglo-American forces. England was already weakened and the American forces is only of nominal strength in Europe, as the other half of the American forces was also engaged in the Pacific against the Japanese.

Germany could have absoloutely won the war. They almost did, its only with hindsight that we can look back and feel safe about the results. He Fought the war on more then 2 fronts against all of western europe the USA and the USSR. Hitlers reach exceeded his grasp.
Looking at some of the weapons that Germany developed towrds the end of the war tho makes one think what if At the end of WW2 Germany was using jet planes had missle technology and was on the right track to the a bomb
So we can look back at ww2 romantically or nostalgically but the people back then were pretty damned scared of the axis powers.

No.
Here's why.
1. He stopped the army from taking the British army out at Dunkirk.
2. he had jet aircraft that he refused to be built.
3. he stopped the air war over England, had he let it go on, he would've won.
4. he went in to Russia, and fought a war in the cold. Men and equipment didn't fair well.
5. He didn't listen to his generals.

Interesting question!
I remember hearing somewhere that Hitler said his three biggest mistakes were attacking Russia, not attacking England sooner and more forcefully and not knowing Japan would bring America into the war.
He certainly came close to winning at points.
Just be glad he didn't!

Hitler should have wore a turban and use roadside explosives. That would have won the war for them
