First of all, only a simpleton would think that it is as basic as "if we fight the terrorists in Iraq they can't come here and fight us"
How ******* dumb do you have to be to buy that load of horsesh.it?
How many terrorists did it take to hit us on 9/11?
Do you think that many couldn't be spared from their "terrorism duties" in Iraq to hit us again?
Are we completely ignoring the fact that there are MORE people now who identify themselves as terrorists and behave like terrorists then there were BEFORE we invaded Iraq?
If anything, the war in Iraq has taken massive amounts of resources, manpower and money out of the homeland security effort which could have gone much much further here. Our borders are still wide open. Our ports are insecure. And we are spending $100's of millions trying to secure a country we didn't even need to invade in the first place.
That's intelligent.

99% of the terrorists in Iraq are NOT Iraqi. The terrorists/foreign jihadists came to Iraq when just after the US invasion. The Iraqi insurgents are all Sunnis home born Iraqis that are fighting the majority Iraqi National Govt because they are Shia & the Shia want the all the Iraqi Sunni dead. But the Iraqi sunni insurgents are not terrorists looking to attack the US if the US leaves. Also if the US leaves the majority Iraqi Shia will not only wipe out the Sunni insurgents they will also wipe out the terrorists/Al Qaeda in iraq because the they will have to help out their Sunni brothers from getting slaughtered by the Iraqi Shia. But they are too few in number to win that battle. Bottom line is the Iraqi Shia could win the war in Iraq & the war on terror in Iraq if the US would just leave.

Why would these terrorists follow?
Probably because we will let them IMMIGRATE to U.S.
In spite of the fact that Muslims that were allowed to immigrate to European countries and England are turning out to be troublesome.
We will let them come in on student visas and work visas and grant them citizenship and let them form terrorist cells here in the U.S and then they can scream racism if the authorities crack down on them.

I never understood the logic..If terrorist are going to strike America..they would do it regardless if we stay or if we go..
In fact I would say if they had the means to do so, in the case of Iraq would they not have brought the war to American soil by now ?

Your speaking of Bush stating fight them there, if we leave they will follow us and come to our country and kill us all. If you believe this baloney than, I don't know what kind of transportation they will use or how they run over here and follow us. There are some here now, but for all them to hitch a ride it really doesn't add up.

The insurgents look at the US retreat as a win.. which it would be. They have promised that once the US retreats , they will bring the fight to our soil and win , just as they did in Iraq because they consider us "paper tigers". Scary to see but easily dominated..

They never said they would follow. All they want is for us to leave their country alone.

They want to destroy us. And they have told us so. I don't think they will just give up and get real jobs.
