My neighbor has a ribbon on her car that says " POWs and MIAs will still remember you. I know that there are prisoners of War like John Mcain that have been and deserve honor. However, does such a "ribbon" refer to MIAs and POWs from Vietnam thru the Iraq war? Are there still POWs and MIAs in Vietnam? I mean that was 30 yrs ago. Is the point in this that people think there are still soldiers from Vietnam to the latest war?
Also, why are these veterans being honored seperately from other vets.
Please give me some help in understanding this.

Islamic terrorists continue to bombard southern Israel with rockets. But the facts are suppressed. Mostly these attacks are described on Israel Government radio and Israel Army Radio in terms that remind one of a weather report.

Insanely, Israel's Deputy Defense Minister declared on Friday that "there is no solution to terror and the missiles from Gaza," as if this is some kind of natural phenomenon.

On Thursday night, the staffer of the new Sderot Information Center for the Western Negev filmed the missile attack and its aftermath in real time. People running in all directions. A pregnant woman and her little girl being carried to an ambulance. Glass crashing in the stores that were hit.

But you won't see this film on the media.

Why not

SEOUL (Reuters) - The South Korean government is handing out gifts for office workers who promise not to visit brothels this holiday season.

"If you promise yourself to make it a healthy night out at the end of the year, and if you recommend this to others, we are giving lots of prizes," the Ministry of Gender Equality said in an Internet posting.

The ministry is offering to pay companies whose employees pledge not to buy sex after what are typically alcohol-soaked, year-end parties.

A ministry spokesman confirmed the campaign but declined to answer questions about it.

But a ministry official told the Korea Times daily: "Korean corporate culture that includes heavy drinking is also what makes buying sex acceptable as a way for male-bonding, which is proving to be a hard-to-break ritual."

At first I thought that this was kind of an extreme position, but recently Israel announced the construction of new settlements in the West Bank. If government money (and to a certain extent American tax dollars) is being used to build new settlements, will Olmert be thrown out for this kind of extreme position?

Campaign work?
I can only imagine that once the candidates come out and announce they will need a vast network of individuals working for them in any large number of states. Living in New York City, I would really like to have a paying job that allows me to work on a national-candidate's campaign (a democrat or third party candidate). How do I go about doing this?

Blair's commercial flight overshot it's landing today without injury. I am glad he was not hurt but why was he flying on a commercial jet? What would the world look like today without Thatcher, Churchill or Blair? Why does the UK not protect the country and the world without a setup simular to AirForceOne???? The world depends on UK leaders as much as the US

Canada said that it won't hurt relations between the two countries because "it happens all the time between countries"!!!
