I don't understand how people in the United States side with these law breakers rather than stand together as a country and demand that our laws are enforced.
Can anyone help me understand this....

Don't give me that BS about the cost of products made int he US will go up either....since the wages for the jobs that illegals won't do has been cut by as much as 70%....I have yet to see the cost of anything I buy reflecting the cut in wages. So do not sit there and tell me that the cost of things will go up...they haven't gone down have they????

The illegals aren't represented as a bunch of law breakers, they are portrayed as people looking for a better life. And since they are looking for a better life, people like you are represented as a racist and intolerant, and hateful and blah blah blah.
I don't want to believe that the masses are asses, I think it's just that a lot of people are lazy and don't really want to look at the truth. The truth is that cheap illegal labor means more profit for companies, and it also opens up a whole new group of people to sell things to. And it doesn't negatively affect the people at top.
Illegals willing to work for a cheaper wage are destroying the working class in America, and when the middle class is gone then the country will collapse. The vast majority of people on Yahoo Answers agree with you.

Actually, it's called money. I totally understand our country is comprised of immigrants - legal immigrants. Illegal folks are cheap labor. They will do any job at any price to stay in our country without going through the hassle of obtaining citizenship. Those cheap jerks that already have too much money lining their pockets would rather have this and put a "Made in America" stamp on their product than send the product away, pay tariffs, and have people of the United States look down on their product for being made elsewhere.

That what makes this country of ours so great... it is called freedom and due process... not all are guilty... innocent until proven guilty. You might see this if you were on the other side of the spectrum of that "unique right" that is given to a human. That's why the USA is "the greatest country" in the world. No wonder everybody wants to live here... even the law breakers.

Well, that's a pretty general statement...certainly not ALL people in the US side with law-breakers. I'm afraid I can't help you understand this, because I understand your frustartion. Thing is, the problem is a little out of control, and I think it would take way more policing power than is available to deal with the situation. Baby steps, you know?

I can't really help you understand. All I can do is share your frustration. It BURNS MY BEHIND. I know everyone else wants to live here. GREAT. Get in line. Get a passport.
Yes my ancestors came here from somewhere in Europe, long ago. LEGALLY. I don't have any problem at all with immigrants. It is ILLEGAL Immigrants that I have a problem with. I am sorry you were born somewhere else. Just come on over, but do it legal. :)
And yes, I think everyone likes this subject cause it is good for everyone, politically, it is good for Republicans, Dems, Priests, Teachers, Preachers, Businesses, Everyone wants to complain about Illegal Immigrants but I assure you, kick them out and pay everyone a living wage and OMG the end of the world would be here.

Most are getting cheap labor and making a fortune from it. They are assisting in the smuggling of more cheap labor to continue to grow their companies. Many of the wealthy here in California have a staff of 3-6 to run their households with the middle-class employing at least one to clean their home, garden or nanny their children. They use them to move furniture. It is a huge labor market here on hundreds and hundreds of street corners where they stand 7 days a week dozens and dozens waiting for our American citizens to pick them up for day labor and what they need done. They usually pay from 10.00-20.00 depending on the task. So it's all about cheap labor. Some people as some people I know work them 7 days a week. 12-15 hours a day.

Immigration is sturdy for the country, it aspects a cultural variety that could ideally be non-existent. How ever, unlawful immigration basically provides to the stress on the economic gadget. Which one are you helping in you debate.

I love how everybody thinks they know the answer to this question. I don't have ties to the illegals, I don't employ them, I am not a bleeding heart, and go ahead and try to deport me, I was born here. I don't support criminal activity and I am sure most of you have broken some law so you are hypocrites. I have however known what it is like to struggle to feed my child, and I did it by working three jobs not by collecting welfare. I know what it is like to need medicine for your child and not have the money to pay for it. Support illegals.. I do not .. but I would rather you think I do than to ever ever be affiliated with most of you.

I can't help you understand it because I don't understand it myself.I'm tired of hearing the same sorry excuses, they work the jobs we Americans won't do (my white American son scrubs toilets at Wal-mart) ,Who would pick the fruit (I pick my own at the local orchard) Who would clean our houses ( I have always cleaned my own house),you know the endless list of excuses.
We as a country should be concerned about who is coming across our borders,if nothing else.
I agree with Jake...most have some personal connection to someone who is illegal.
