Artifical Intelligence is the new thing so I think Aurora (a scram jet run by AI to replace the SR-71 and other spy craft) is going to be real eventually. Some of those bomber pilots are in the are like 72 hours straight and an AI bomber could just fly to the area and then be controlled by a real pilot on he ground.

I don't think they will make another piloted aircraft, because the jets are better than the human pilots already. The planes now can cause the pilots to black out and die because of the G-forces they are capable of. A faster aircraft uses more fuel and there is no getting around that. A faster aircraft also cuts down on the turn radius unless you want to pull enough Gs to black out the pilot.

Since the Comanche was abandoned, I doubt they will be working on a stealth helicopter.

They could be working on ground vehicals to go after or protect humans from IEDs.

They could be working on a universal enemy position map so everyone on the "war" would have access to the location of spoted enemy (something akin to what the Apache Longbow has now) positions in real time.
