Wow, you drove what? 107 mph. Now I get a picture and can see why you are so scare? I urge you talking to a lawyer ( Pro Bo-no unless you can pays he or she for a fee. ) I can analyze a small portion of your story.I urge you to contact the court first whether they want you to be arrange or you have a hearing. I have no ideas that the time you got ticket were you drunk or gave a cop a hard time. What kind of charge? I urge you call the court clerk first before you decide to see a lawyer. Then you can find a lawyer to help you. My brother had the same situation and the cop locked him up in jail. So I paid a lawyer to clean his name 700 dollars and that was 25 years ago. You have to work step by step and if you never have any bad record I am sure the judge will grant you a probation and let you go to a traffic school and pay a hefty fine and be on a year probation. However, I urge you to ask Yahoo Answer and I am sure a Kind and handsome lawyer might help you for a small fee. Good luck and do not give up yet. Keep trying and stop worry. Look for more support and try to do well in your court date.

Some jurisdictions will not just let you pay a fine when you are speeding that fast. They want you in court to discuss other penalties. You probably won't go to jail unless you have a lot of similar offenses or unless you were really out of control when dealing with the cop that pulled you over. You should expect to be sentenced to traffic school but that's not that bad of a thing--- many insurance companies actually give you a discount for completing traffic school which will definitely help because your rates are going to go way up after a ticket like that!
Oh and I just read your other question. The cop is not going to forget but even if he cannot attend the court date, they have all the evidence they need to convict you. Your only hope of getting entirely out of the ticket is if you have an evil twin that can go to court with you, and you can claim mistaken identity, LOL. Seriously, though, you should go into court, admit your guilt and try to work the best deal with the judge. Take an attorney if you can--- what you pay the lawyer for 2 hours' work will be worth it if you can get the Reckless dropped to a regular speeding.

Locally for me if a person is going over 20MPH over the limit it is considered reckless driving and requires a court apperance. The Judge will consider all the options before assessing a fine and points after listening to your story.
Fines and points are listed in your local or state web site no doubt and you can look them up. generally it will read like this
x number of dollars for each amount of y over the speed limit and a adminstration cost of xy to process the ticket.
Also when you go to court a little advice, do NOT make up any stories, the Judge hears them all day and can really piss them off. If it is your first time, tell the truth, Just plain stupid, racing, not paying attention, etc. Also dress like you are going to stand in front of a Judge, (because you are) Clean clothes, ironed, tie if you have one, comb your hair. It is the basic idea that if you make an effort in front of the Judge, the Judge may believe you will make an effort to stay out of trouble.

You probably have to appear in court because of how fast you were going. Don't be scared, just own up to the speeding. The judge might give you a lecture, but it could be worse. If you'd crashed, you could be dead! And I'm not saying that to sound stupid either.

If you don't go to court they will issue a warrent for your arrest, and when they find you they will take you to jail. Period. Just go to court, they aren't going to do anything except tell you how much you need to pay.
