Ok...someone please tell me if this is legal...I made an investment in a company about 7 months ago. Now they are sending letters to about 65 of the investors saying that they messed up and didn't register with the Federal Securities and Exchange Commission as a "private corporation". This means they have too many investors so they are trying to give us our money back and in return we are to send back our stock certificates. So apparently they can only have 35 investors and they have 99, and instead of letting the first 35 people that invested in the company keep their stock, they are keeping the 35 investors who invested the most money...They have been sending us all letters for the past 7 months saying how good things are going and that the project is going to sell for billions. I have information that the project is finished and about to be sold.so they used our money to build their project and are basically just treating it like a loan which is definately not what we signed up for

They say "Oh, let's leave Iraq, and it will be a pretty day over there."
and I have heard many Liberals saying we should cut in run in Afghanistan. They also support killing babies, so I guess that is another form of terrorism. I even heard the insurgents are supporting the Liberals, and the Liberals probably become humble after hearing this. I don't think their Liberal buddy Clinton was very good at military either.

If Scott Peterson killed his wife with a baby in her stomache, why did they count the death of the baby as murder? Shouldn't it have been one charge of murder and one charge of practicing medicine without a license (abortion)? To give him a murder charge is to say it's illegal to kill an unborn baby.
Sorry, I know it's a grim question, but I find it interesting.

WWI: Commonly accepted cause was the assasination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife by Serbian patriot, Gavrilo Princip. Austria-Hungary (German ally) waged war over Serbia. The western allies did not tolerate the agression toward Serbia so Germany joined in to protect Austria -Hungary's cause. One conspiracy theory claims that Germany had been itching for a war - especially with Britain, who had political, military, and economic dominance over Europe; that the Kaiser was waiting for any of the western allies to make the "wrong move". WWII: Commonly accepted cause was that severe economic depression and social strife made Germany struggle to gain back the lands and self-respect she lost in WWI by conquering the countries that took them away. Conspiracy theories claim again that the underlying purpose of the WWI Kaiser and the Hitler's 3rd Reich Nazis was the same -- to bring back the glory of the German-led Holy Roman Empire. WWIII: You decide.

I'm just curious here. There seems to be a heck of a lot of demonizing of the former first lady and the current New York Senator out there, and I've yet to hear one valid reason in support of the negative opinions. Everybody, of course, is entitled to an opinion, but mere bashing for the sake of bashing isn't very intelligent. Please enlighten me, perhaps you have a valid reason not to like Hillary Clinton. I would like to here it; and I would like sources and evidence (not just warrantless claims). Is it just fashionable to hate Hillary? Is it fear of a woman in charge? Is it the connection with Bill? There is no right or wrong answer to this, I am just encouraging some thought here.

I could chop it down late at night, it's a beauty. There's the added bonus of also giving me a clear view into his teenage daughters bedroom if it's gone too. Do you reckon he'll suspect me?

I've seen several answerers on here today that, to summarize, state that they like Bush because he stands behind his ideals. Why does anyone care, if his ideals are wrong? That's like saying 'I stand behind Hugo Chavez because he believes in what he's doing.'

Reading some of the statements made here in the Politics section it's come to my attention that some people believe because America is the richest nation in the world that there's no poverty here. I can assume that those people are American because they say "we" when they talk about the US. So I guess my real question is What planet are you from? Who here is so ignorant to say there's no poverty in the US? And if you do truly believe that, what exactly are your reasons for saying so? Do you choose to turn a blind eye to the homeless and hungry people that live here in the United States? Or do you believe that there isn't any?

It seems that a lot of people on here feel that it's unpatriotic to question our president. It also seems that there are quite a few that stand behind him simply because he is our president.

Wouldn't we all be British if we didn't question our government...

Do you really want your own government officials swearing an oath to a book that ultimately declares DEATH to America?!

Perhaps these verses taken from the Koran will help shed some light:

The Koran calls on Muslims not to befriend Jews or Christians? (Surah 9:30)

The Koran imposes "Jizya" (tribute tax) on Christians and Jews that will be collected only from them and not from Muslims? (Surah 9:29)

"If any one desires a religion other than Islam, never will it be accepted of him, and in the hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost." (Surah 3:85)

Resisting Islam: punished by death, crucifixion or the cutting off of the hands and feet (Surah 5:33)

Mohammed says that a Muslim may not be killed if he kills a non- Muslim. " No Muslim should be killed for killing a kafir (infidel non- Muslim) ."Al Bukhari Vol. 9:50

Is this the book you really want our American government officials swearing an oath to?

Im a South African living in London. I have a one year working, one year holiday VISA and am interested in joining the British army. I have heard that as long as you have at least 6 months left on your VISA you can sign up. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on this topic. I am interested in working for military forces in a peace keeping capacity. I also have some experience in Psychology, although limited, and would love to do something helpful in war time situations. If anyone knows of some opportunities available for a Saffa, with 1 year working, 1 year holiday VISA, PLEASE let me know.

We keep accepting tax after tax on everything! Or is like the miners who complained or asked for more that Maggie did the only thing and closed the mines so there was nothing to strike for!

Do we all like giving over 80% in tax for fuel to the government?

Do we all like to pay more to drive mile by mile after paying road tax when only 10% of road tax goes back to maintaiin the roads!

The list is endless!

A nation of moaners but no complainers!
