I'm just curious here. There seems to be a heck of a lot of demonizing of the former first lady and the current New York Senator out there, and I've yet to hear one valid reason in support of the negative opinions. Everybody, of course, is entitled to an opinion, but mere bashing for the sake of bashing isn't very intelligent. Please enlighten me, perhaps you have a valid reason not to like Hillary Clinton. I would like to here it; and I would like sources and evidence (not just warrantless claims). Is it just fashionable to hate Hillary? Is it fear of a woman in charge? Is it the connection with Bill? There is no right or wrong answer to this, I am just encouraging some thought here.

To clarify my question to Answerer #3: I am aware that she is the expected frontrunner for the 2008 presidential election, and I share your sentiments, but my question remains: What are the reasons many people's aversion to her. I am trying to encourage individual thought rather than merely subscribing to what one's parents, friends, co-workers, the news media, have indoctrinated. I just want to know what people think, and how they support their conclusions (or even IF they can support their conclusions with valid arguments). Thanks for the reply.

In response to Answerer #5: Ok, perhaps I misused the word, hate. Feel free to substitute it with distrust, fear, aversion, negative knee-jerk reaction, or whatever you would like. I simply used the word, 'hate,' to describe the strong reactions I have been reading on line, and I would like to question the origins of these opinions. Thanks for the response.

To Answerer #8: Thanks for the very thoughtful response. You have made a powerful point, one that I have not fully considered. Politicians, especially those in high positions, effect a greater number of citizen's lives, and thus indeed should be held under greater scrutiny (fair or unfair). Way to go! You may well be the best answer so far.

For every person who "hates" Hillary there is probably one who "loves" her. People in the public eye, especially politicians, are going to be extremely controversial. In a country of almost 300 million people, with almost 300 million different opinions about everything, ANY prominent person, especially if she acquires fame or wealth through marriage, is going to attract (unfavorable) attention to herself and her more prominent supporters.
The fact that Hillary (and many of her supporters) have often gone out of their way to offend and antagonise critics certainly adds fuel to the fire (remember her remarks about being "co-President" and "not staying at home to bake cookies..."
On the whole, Hillary Clinton hasn't been criticised, attacked, or publicly demeaned any more (or less) than other people in her position, and I suspect that, like them, she gives as good as she gets.
Of course, and this is true of politicians everywhere, Where there is smoke, there is usually fire. There IS a lot about them to hate, despise, and ridicule!! Hillary (and Bill) are certainly no BETTER than the average run of public official infesting the governments that misrules us. Most of the criticism and revulsion simply reflects this. If you doubt this, look at the last election, and how it clearly showed public outrage at Americans being lied to about Iraq by STUPID and his Republican stooges! Feminists and Democrats are certainly not the only ones in the firing line.
I hope that my answer gave you a little perspective on Hillary-hate.
I would rather live in a country where politicians, media celebrities, and high level bureaucrats and Judges ARE subject to unrelenting and (sometimes even unfair) scrutiny and criticism than one where everyone just obeys orders, and even worse, slobbers over and worships those cretins. How about you??

Very few people "hate" her. They just think that she's disqualified, dishonest, and lacking notable accomplishments. She has been known to lie to the American public (Benghazi, emails). People don't trust her. She also asserts that she is the "only voice for women in the presidential race". This is most assuredly not true, but many people will tend to believe her, simply because of her gender. She hasn't really DONE anything honestly. Yes, she makes speeches. Yes, she flies around the globe. So what? Anyone with a little money and fame can do that! Unfortunately, there are a considerable amount of people that think she is unqualified for presidency on the basis of her gender. I think she is lacking authenticity. If she is the democratic nomination I will vote republican. Even if that means Trump. He's very honest. :)

I don't think that people hate her but she seems to have the type of personality where people don't like her. I don't like her but I would vote for her. She is highly respected by her peers (newspaper & Time).
She must be doing something right considering she won the last election by a landslide.
I agree with all of her views except for abortion. I was hoping to see some valid reasons against her politics but I haven't yet. Someone did go into detail but what they thought were negatives I actually thought were positives. Go figure. I guess thats why we vote.

I am voting for her, period. I have encountered some hateful comments about her, because I am supporting her. Someone said I was an awful person because I supported her. They blame her for what happened in Benghazi, White Water, ETC. I love when they say she is dishonest, news flash there is no honest politician. I like her and believe she will help this Country in many ways, while others are out just to crucify her.

"Hate" seems to be one the most mis-used words in the dictionary. I don't hate Hillary Clinton or anyone else, but many of her political positions (and maybe her beliefs) are opposed to what I believe is best for Americans and the rest of the world. Don't bank on this politician actually believing in what she says.
Favored by Emily's List and NARAL for her position on abortion, including partial birth abortion (she calls it "pro-choice").
Rated "F" by the NRA for her long-time opposition to firearms in the hands of American citizens.
Opposed President G.W. Bush's energy policy, including drilling of ANWR in Alaska.

I still don t understand why they hate her. She would of been one of the most successful person. I love the fact that she didn t give up and she fought to the end. It s not fair that people hate her for the reason that she is the first girl running for president in fact, people are racist why not electing for a girl. If girls can do the same thing as men.

As a peace activist, "hate" may be the wrong word to use, but I do despise everything about Hillary Clinton. Very few know this except those actively involved in peace activism during the Iraq War, but the peace movement had speeches against Hillary Clinton just like speeches against George W Bush and his Neocon Cabal. She was the least trusted Democrat candidate in 2008, and peace activists called Hillary "Neocon Lite". While Senator and Secretary Of State, Hillary s votes and policies in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen have left millions of people in the Mideast murdered, injured and/or displaced. Is it any wonder that Mideast hates USA?! Blowback caused by Hillary Clinton has created terrorists and refugees, and both. Voters really need to investigate Hillary Clinton for her foreign policy. She has a lust for warmongering and regime change. She is an extremely dangerous person and it would be devastating to have Hillary as Commander-In-Chief.
