For instance, now it might be possible to impeach Bush, Cheney and Rice.

Mark it down, people. Jeb Bush will be the nominee for President in 2008. Who will be his running mate? Hey, remember you heard it here first. Jeb will be the nominee, and Hillary Clinton will NOT be the Democratic nominee.

"Classical liberalism (also called classic liberalism or simply liberalism) is the original form of, and is today a tendency within, liberalism. It is a political school of thought that first emerged in the 17th and 18th centuries, upholding individualism and free market economics. Classical liberalism focuses on concepts of individual autonomy and private property, and argues that the sole legitimate function of government is to defend these. Classical liberals promote the use of precisely delineated constitutions that are difficult or impossible to modify, intended to prevent governments from assuming an interventionist role."

does this sound like a modern day liberal?!

i seem that some believe that not matter what we do for ourselves we will be down if someone else doesn't do as we think even if that someone wants to be part of America in the case of the immigrants .

wouldn't we be much better if instead of losing time we try to adapt to current events . it is nobember 2006 and the people of the USA the greatess country of the world have spoken . it is time to recognize what the people want .

When a handful of Muslims commit violence against Western civilians, the whole of the Muslim world is deemed collectively guilty and the religion of Islam is condemned for promoting violence and opposing progress. When tens of thousands of Muslim and Arab civilians are starved and slaughtered in Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon and Afghanistan by the democratically elected
goverments and armed forces of Western states be it the US, Israel or Nato, these horrific acts of injustice are simply "regrettable" and never seems to reflect negatively on Christianity, Judaism or the West.
WHY ????????????????

I have often read that Bush had humility in Texas when the people voted against him. I think that that is what this Rumsfeld resignation is. I believe Bush asked him to resign. If he did, this restores some of my faith in Bush's ability to redefine our role in Iraq in conjuction with a democratic congress.

I am a liberal democrat - don't peg me as a conservative rightist.

I am as about as liberal of a democrat as you can get. That being said, I think the world's reaction to our election this past week are so far off what the reality is. While I think that the American vote was mostly due to the Iraq situation, I don't share the non-American view that we are somehow going to run scared and just pull out. I think pulling completely out would be worse than staying in. I think that the election was resounding response that we want a solution to the problem. Not a withdrawal - like in Vietnam.

What do you think?

Another point I think is that foreigner's seem to think that the people of America "hate" Bush. He may be an idiot in ofice, but he is our idot, nonetheless. I think they need to back off.

Something tells me that even if the Congress is in the Democratic party for the next ten years that we will still presue trying to stablize Iraq before we slowly pull out our forces.

but what are your thoughts

Different polls ask different questions, but many times the same question is asked but all the difference in the world falls in the way it was worded. Why do subtly different wording create such a difference in the way people vote?

I am doing some research for a class and I will use feedback here in the project! I got my information from the US Department of Justice website. My article is going to be about misconceptions about offenders! 90% of people that offend sexually know their victims very well and only 3.5% of sex offenders reoffend. It's more than likely going to be someone you know and in your own home.

I am so confused. Democratic candidates in my state ran solely on the basis of immediate withdrawal. Last night Howard Dean said immediate withdrawal is not the answer. It seems like the democrats have to get their act together to get anything accomplished with their new found power.

I'd like to know if there is actually a plan for Iraq. Simply stating "things must change" is not much of an agenda.
