If americans pull out from Iraq, do you think the other super powers like the UK/Japan/Australia etc will be tough enough to remain back to help Iraq and it's 'democracy'?? Do you think maliki is the most concserned about the chance of americans rethinking their strategy in Iraq??

I've heard more from tangible ideas from then than I have ever heard from the Repubs.

Dem plans I have heard:

-Increasing the paltry min. wage.
-Cutting student loan rates.
-Re-examine the 9/11 commission
-Health care for all under age 25
-Working with other countries for more affordable prescription drugs
-Rolling back the "rich" people's tax cuts

Sounds like a plan to me? What do you think? Do you really think this will hurt America?

What was the Repubs. plan? What was going to be done for us, besides suppressing medical technology via stem cell banning or repressing individual autonomy by interfering w/ women's and gay rights? Enlighten me please!?

He drove the deficit up higher than any President in history until that time. Before his administration you hadn't heard of homeless families since the depression. I lost count of how many times he nearly brought on a war with the USSR and goaded terrorists with his careless talk. Not to mention selling out our National Security with the Iran/Contra deal. He should have been impeached and he and most of his cabinet tried for treason. By the time George H.W. Bush was done this country was so far in debt it looked hopeless. Clinton may have been an immoral pig, but within six years there were plenty of jobs, healthy families, and a surplus in the budget. When he left office people had less fear of losing their jobs and homes and we were at peace. He knew how to take care of the citizens of this country instead of his big business cronies. I lived through these things and know they were true. I hate revisionist history.

This is the situation...... A couple have a child but never marry. The father's name is on the birth certificate and a blood test was done. The couple breaks up and are no longer on speaking terms. The mother keeps the child away from the father for 6 months at a time. (with no contact) She moves and will not let anyone know where she lives not even her family. She knows that they will tell the father where she lives. There has been some times that she has just decided she didn't want to keep the child anymore and gave him back to the father and she didn't bother to contact her son. She always seems to get the child back from her family when he is staying with them. The mother is on drugs and will not work. She doesn't have a car and is living with firends (moving all the time). The father knows he needs a lawyer but at the moment he is out of a job. I am wanting to know what are his rights to his child? There are no legal papers stating who has custody of the child.

The choices Hillary, Obama, etc. are not appealing.
Not liked, no experience, unknown, too controversial. These are issues that plague many wanna be candidates.

We've got a lot of nerve trying to tell the rest of the world how to run an election when ours is so corrupt, and with Lobbying like we do, it's nothing but bribery is it not?

Here's the deal. I got a letter from the DMV saying my license is expiring on my 21st b-day. But it said I had to get a form filled out by an eye doctor to renew. I figured I'd get around to it eventually, but today I got pulled over for passing on the right. The cop gave me 2 tickets: passing on the right and expired license (less than 60 days). First of all, all my friends said they had new licenses sent to their homes without any renewal process (when they were 21). Does everyone have to fill out the eye form? Second of all, how many points does my 2 tickets net me? Third of all, if it turns out that the DMV was supposed to have sent me my renewed license directly, does that get me off of the ticket?
Thanks, all.

We have clearly chosen the Democrats' agenda of a "new direction."

Why do I still feel like we're still wondering along without a compass?

I think it's great to have more diversity in powerful positions in this country. Maybe girls can grow up with better role models than Britney Spears now.

I love this quote. I think It's why people will blindly follow one leader or one set of ideologies, despite overwhelming facts. Here is the quote:

"What a man believes upon grossly insufficient evidence is an index into his desires -- desires of which he himself is often unconscious. If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he will accept it even on the slightest evidence. The origin of myths is explained in this way."

I am being told I owe over $1000 in back child support yet I have paid through payroll the entire time. I have not missed work in that time nor have I missed a check. I had to pay $18 just to get my record of payment just to attempt to prove it. Now this will effect my credit and no one seems to want to help me the father. Everyone is there to help the custodial parent but who helps the other when they are wronged by the system? This is the second time now and I am at a loss.
