Actually you have just answered your own question, the stereotype is republicans are boring, shallow and arrogant. U can find the same trait in democrats , liberals and just about any other group.
So as far as having fun, it just depends on the individual and their particular lifestyle - and what is considered fun to one may not be fun to another. But I had to give you a smile, because that is how they are viewed and when you look up seeing one who fits the profile, you think un huh.. it must be true ( smile)

Not more fun, but more trouble... If you can call it fun getting your gf pregnant cuz you'll kill her baby later on, then you're trouble... and with the taxes raising on the horyzon, Republicans will take you to the Cleaners... haha

I doubt it. All of those activities are personal and moral choices...and I've known very moral Democrats and very moral Republicans. I don't think your political affiliation has that much sway over the decisions you make in life. Your moral fiber and personal judgement do.
