I saw several campaign ads, nearly all in a row on the same channel, yesterday, talking about how bad the Democratic candidates are. At least one was about how awful it is that his opponent is "liberal", or so the ad says. Liberal! How can he live with himself?! So, this information inspired one desire in me. to revive the corpses of Che Guevera and Karl Marx just so I can try to vote for them in place of the Republicans. I'm not anti Republican or pro Democratic, though my politics lean Dem, but, really, shut the hell up for a few minutes. Are zombies elligible for public office?

What fantasies or actions have excessive political ads inspired in you?

US force in Iraq swells to 150,000: Pentagon.

WASHINGTON (AFP) - With the US death toll in Iraq passing 103 this month and mid-term elections just days away, the Pentagon said the US force in Iraq has grown to 150,000 troops, the biggest it has been since January o6.

A Pentagon spokesman attributed the growth to overlapping unit rotations, but it came amid surging violence that so far this month has claimed the lives of 103 US troops and many more Iraqis.

"Several units are transitioning out as several are transitioning in," said Lieutenant Colonel Mark Ballesteros, who said that as of Monday the number of US troops in Iraq was 150,000.

A Pentagon official, who asked not to be named, said American forces were supposed to be around 40,000 by the end of 2003 but it is now 3 years later and we have 150,000 troops in Iraq. He ask "Where did we go wrong"?.

They drain our economy of resources, vital programs for legal Americans. They also say that this is depressing wages for the American people, now when we close our borders off to almost all illegal immigrants will I be guaranteed a wage increase? Will NY's minimum wage go above 6 dollars? I’ve been told not to hold my breath…why is that?
