The QUESTION (yes, Yahoo! moderators, there is a question here...) is not SHOULD we torture, but should our President openly LIE about torturing?

Ok, to those who believe Bush is not lying about torture (what pink sky world are you living in???), if it were to be discovered that Bush is lying, should he be impeached for it?

Well, assuming Bush did lie about torture (which is difficult to say because "torture" has never really been defined), you would have to also point to the specific instance. If he was under oath, after swearing with his hand on the bible, and he said he didn't torture, when in fact he did, and we had hard evidence to support it (under a defined term of "torture), then I would say it would be impeachable. There is no doubt Clinton lied under oath; he committed perjury in the defined and particular sense. So, that no doubt is impeachable. That's all I can say with the facts.

It would be worse to lie about torture than it would be to lie about sexual relations.
Remember that saying something happened when it didn't is also a lie.
Please define for us exactly what torture is and isn't. Is it torture to give a prisoner treats in exchange for information? Is it torture to embarrass someone? (careful how you answer that because it happens on playgrounds at schools every day) Is it torture to cut off someones head with a dull knife and make the video available for their family to see?
Just because you experience something you don't want to in life doesn't mean it is torture. Was it torture when your teacher gave you an F on an assignment you did poorly or just the result of your own actions?

The truth of the matter is that I feel that it is an impeachable offense to commit perjury (lying under oath) and just lying is NOT an impeachable offense, although it is wrong. It matters not what one is lying about. (sexual relations or torture). Now, that is my answer to your question. I do want to emphasize that GW did NOT like about torture. If you are prosecuting him for such a thing, then, the burden of proof is on your shoulders. Please provide the proof or shut up your LYING.

Lying. I haven't heard any lies about torture except in today's paper where the terrorist Jose Padilla lied and claimed he was tortured in Federal Lockup. The only torture I see going on is that most of us are being tortured by the same stupid, inane questions from the libs who seem to think it was just dandy that the President of The United States and supposed leader of the free world didn't know that a hummer in the White House from a very junior employee who was supposed to be protected by her boss and instead was taken advantage of by her boss, was sex. Was that just another Billy Bob lie?

For me, it wasn't the fact that Billy Boy couldn't keep his pants zipped - it was the fact that he LIED UNDER OATH. I still think that the president of our country committing perjury is a very very serious offense.
As to lying about torture - define torture. Is playing Metallica at extremely loud levels torture? (Well, okay - maybe for some people....) I don't understand why some people insist that the US is no better than any other country, but then they expect us to always take the high road. Wouldn't that mean that we ARE better?
I think that using women and children as human shields is far worse than water boarding someone to get information that might save hundreds of lives, if not thousands.

You would need proof that a lie was given. We have Clinton on Video lying and then being outed. So such predicament w/ Bush. Try again.

Rape and sexual assault not relationships is what got Billy in deep. Not a BJ as he order men into harms way. (truth)
If you have some creep that knows where and who is going to do the next bombing of women and kids in Iraq I would be more than happy to do any thing needed. By the way if you were put in the same place SO WOULD YOU.

You libs need to get a clue, those scumbag terrorists are living better than the homeless. The only "torture" these piece of garbage terrorists are getting is that they don't have cable TV.

Is it torture to drip some water on some terrorists head to get them to tell us their next target, or is it real torture to force yourself and your cigars into a 20 year old intern? Or how about asking Juanita "better put some ice on that" Broaddrick about torture?
