I saw several campaign ads, nearly all in a row on the same channel, yesterday, talking about how bad the Democratic candidates are. At least one was about how awful it is that his opponent is "liberal", or so the ad says. Liberal! How can he live with himself?! So, this information inspired one desire in me. to revive the corpses of Che Guevera and Karl Marx just so I can try to vote for them in place of the Republicans. I'm not anti Republican or pro Democratic, though my politics lean Dem, but, really, shut the hell up for a few minutes. Are zombies elligible for public office?

What fantasies or actions have excessive political ads inspired in you?

I have an urge to vote against the ones I see too frequently. That is my fantasy. By the time the elections role around I am so tired of seeing ads on television and in the mailbox that I could scream.

What it has done to me that is not a fantasy is that I am absolutely 100% for campaign contribution reform. What a huge waste of money. It's overwhelming and frustrating to listen to their rhertoric constantly and know how much money they are spending to overwhelm me. And what about the mail box, wow, I'm filling up the recycle bin half way through the week with their junk.

At this time of the year when all you see are ads claiming how bad one person is and how angelic the other is, it borders on sad. They really make me want to cry. I do not believe I have seen a single ad in which the candidate tells me what he is going to do, sure I get a soundbyte but there is no substance. Just name calling, it is like watching two adults call each other names on a playground, like in second grade. How about all the ads saying that this candidate voted 85% of the time with President Bush? Nice, but what are you going to do? We need normal people who base their decisions on common sense and the overall good of the nation to take over from these idiots.

To tell the truth I'm really dreading the comeback of the lame ads that Corporate America has been putting on the air lately. At least the mud slinging ads, from the politicians, have made for entertaining TV.

I really hate them. They dont focus on what that particular candidate is for, but rather what other candidates are for. It would be nice to hear what they want.

But then again, there are a lot of ads out there not paid for by one candidate or another, they are paid for by committees that have oodles of money to waste to try and sway another voter their way.

I think the more negative the ad, the less chance I will vote for that person to be honest. I want to know what I can count on you for when or if you are to be elected.

It definately leaves an impression as you remember every detail. You just hated it because you already made up your mind.
