For me I would have to say anything that relates to children, healthcare and education are the main things that will be drawing me to the polls this upcoming election, but then again, those are always the reason why I go.

I know there are some controversial issues out there right now, such as the war, gay marriage, immigration, and such, but what really draws you into this election?

The U.S. bishops’ conference opposed the construction of the 700-mile fence as an ineffective method of solving the problem of illegal immigration and as act that will lead to an increase in smuggling-related violence.

I neither attend religious services, nor do I pay tithe, nor do I expect special consideration as a 'heathen-american'.

If the catholic charities have all this money etc., then why don't they spend it where it's needed? God knows there's enough hungry people around the world, should we be taking our orders from a religious institution that once upon a time backed Mexico in a war with the United States? I'm thankful for secular government....I'm not against a Bible being in the courthouse etc., but I think organized religion should pay taxes and not be trying to pass legislation nor subvert our Constitution...Jesus, Inc. is Big Business, these days...

If you are taking an employer to small claims court for wages due, how can you get a copy of the employers payroll records to prove you were under paid without hiring a lawyer (they won't take the case because the $ amount is only $500 - which is a lot to me).

Even if they do come and sit at the six party discussion can they be trusted to comply?? My personal feeling is NO. They will say what we want to hear and do another. Their HATRED toward America is very strong and as they said in the past they will get us. Is this just a way to get what they want?? We have the edge and are we doing the right thing to negotiate with them?? Or should we stand our ground and continue to punish them?? I know they have strong bonds with China who is a very powerful country but should worry about that??

BAGHDAD, Iraq - U.S. troops on Tuesday abandoned checkpoints around the Shiite militia stronghold of Sadr City on orders from Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, the latest in a series of moves by the Iraqi leader to assert his authority with the U.S. administration.

The U.S. military announced the deaths of two soldiers in fighting in the Baghdad area on Monday, one from small arms fire, the other from a roadside bomb. Those brought the number of troops killed in Iraq this month to *103*.

U.S. forces disappeared from the checkpoints within hours of the order to remove the around-the-clock barriers by 5:00 p.m., setting off celebrations among civilians and armed men gathered on the edge of the sprawling slum that is under the control of the Mahdi Army militia run by radical anti-American cleric Muqtada al-Sadr. The United States military is worried about Muqtada al-Sadr due to him being able to take on and hurt the USA military. Muqtada al-sadr stated the USA will lose the war.
