It is genetic. Winston Churchill once said that a Republican was someone too afraid to fight for themselves and too fat to run. Republicans are intolerant because they are unwilling to accept the fact that their party's officeholders are not performing their responsibilities in the best interest of the union. Pride is a deadly sin.

That's not intolerance, it's called standing up for what you believe. I'm not a republican, but I get sick of people saying the republicans aren't tolerant. There is no evidence of intolerance. Just because they don't think gay couples should be married does not mean they want to brush gay people under the rug. Just because they think affirmative action should be done with doesn't mean they are racist. Unless you have talked to someone or can get in their head you shouldn't be saying they are intolerant. There may be individual republicans who are intolerant, and shame on them, but there are likely some intolerant Democrats also. We need to get over the party line divisions. The individual is what matters.

Read the very next question on answers!
Will some body please assasinate Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and Sean Hannity and the Fox News Staff?
The Conservative media better known as the Third Reich Propaganda news outlet are feeding the american people with lies, if we exterminate them and tell the truth this would be a better country I mean look at what Good Ol Boy Rush said about Mike J Fox that was just plain wrong, so if you are tired of turning on fox news and seeing HAIL BUSH(ZEIG_HEIGH) start watching CNN
Now who is intolerant?

Just be cause we see most htings as black or white doesnt make us intolerant. It just means we know you ARE NOT going to please everyone all the time and that you CANNOT "talk" to everyone(ie militant Muslims & Communists). That the articles in the Constitution that our Founding Fathers built this country on mean something totally different from the way liberal judges have ruled them to mean. That prisoners of war DO NOT deserve Constitutional rights as they ARE NOT American citizens. It's just that how we view our world is different from how you view it.

When did people become ineligible to have a viewpoint different from yours, that's what I'm wondering...I'm an independent, but lean towards conservative views on a lot of issues. I think the liberals are juuust idealistic enough to succeed in giving away the store, and they have NO problem spending 'other people's money'....all for the betterment of society, of course.
Tolerance/kindness can also be mistaken for exploitable weakness, and there's some wisdom to be found in Limbaugh's 'tough love' concept, if you're open-minded enough to read his material...the majority of americans aren't open to socialism/communism, which unfortunately lies closer to the liberal than the conservative path...democrats tend to be liberal, republicans tend to be conservative, that's the general breakout of that...

There is a perception that many of ideas, believe systems, values and lifestyles that Republicans enjoy are under attack from the liberal left. Now this the same perception from the left as well. Each believes that the other is forcing their lifestyle choices on the other.

Intolerant of evil and stupidity, of dishonesty and deceitfulness, of substandard low quality workmanship, of crime, of racism, of abhorrent behavior, of mass murder, of cheating, etc IS ALL GOOD. Intolerance itself can be very good. You act like all intolerance is bad. Try to make your question or your point be more specific.

They just are. And i have noticed lately alot of them asking why liberals behave in a certain way. The funny thing is they are suggesting that liberals behave in the way that conservatives have been acting all along. They are trying to make it seem like we are the ones who act like this. Liberals are the ones who advocate free speech and intelligent debate. Conservatives tend to yell and scream 'shut up' with their fingers in their ears, fearful to find out something that doesnt help their cause.
