No I would not, cause I would miss the freedoms we enjoy here and I wouldn't enjoy living in a Mexican prison, which is where I would be if I entered their country the way they enter ours. And it would not change my view on illegal immigration, since the expect something for NOTHING when they get here.

I am Us Citizen born and raised, lived in Mexico for 1 year (last year) and am a legal resident there. If you don't have your own money, then don't even try to get "legal" there. They don't want the poor. It should work both ways. I am married to an "illegal" who now lives in Mexico. I STILL don't agree with illegal immigration and feel it needs to be stopped. He left and is now doing it the "legal" way and that is the way it should be. I do understand why he came illegally and the worst part is..he has a college degree and speaks English. At that time Immigration wouldn't let him in but will let people that don't even speak English or have a basic education????? No one that is here should be allowed to stay and become legal with just a slap on the wrist or a fine. Here is a controversial thought..since the US is good at invading foreign countries and destroying lives (our thoughts and prayers for all of our lost troops and to their grieving families), they should take over Mexico "for the good of the people" both US and Mexican. Hey George, time to take over another one in the name of saving us from terrorists...

I don't want to live in Mexico. My Dad has a house there and it is pretty, but I like America.
No, it has nothing to do with not wanting to have our education funds for our children stretched to educate millions of children of illegal immigrants in overcrowded and failing schools.
The lifeboat can't fit everyone, and frankly, Mexico is not the 'pit' people are making it out to be. It just has a gap between rich and poor that suppresses opportunities for all but the rich -- much as is happening in areas of the US where illegal immigrants concentrate. Look it up.

No I wouldn't live in Mexico. Why should I change my mind? The problem isn't the Immigrant part it is the Illegal part. I don't care if they come legally one bit. Being against illegal immigration is about upholding our laws.

First of all, no, it wouldn't change my mind. There are a ton of poor countries out there. We can't make the US the place for everyone to come. I have traveled to several other countries so I have seen firsthand how poor people live. The problem is that the President of Mexico wants to weed out the poor people so he will not provide help to them, but let me remind you, there are lot's of tourist attractions in Mexico that bring a ton of US dollars to that economy. Mexico needs to fix it's own problems. The US takes advantage of these poor mexicans by employing them and paying them slave labor wages. These illegal immigrants will stay here working for the wages because it's better than earnings in Mexico, and they will live 8 to 10 to a house here because it is better than living conditions there. However, I need to remind you, that this now moves our standard of living down and if we continue on this path, it will further erode our society. So, I guess the long and the short of it, is Nope, wouldn't change my mind a bit.

If Mexico wanted to be a part of USA they should have done something about it long time ago. Obviously they don't want to. Every country has problems. Look at the Appalachian part of US. You think people here don't go hungry? Why should we feel sorry for people who brake the law? Why should we spend money on the people who come here illegally. I'd rather have my tax money go for better schools for inner-city kids of Chicago (for example), or to West Virginia mountain cities that are dying, we have enough problems in America as well... don't try make us feel sorry for poor Mexicans.

I live in deep south Texas and in my opinion the US should give everything south of the Nueces River back to Mexico. Now lots of people from Mexico live here legally and illegally. I live in one of the poorest counties in the US (Cameron) and boy you should see how well off people live. I know not everyone is involved in the illicit trade but it bothers me when I go to the grocery store and see a family buying food and paying for it with food stamps (Lone Star Card) . I then see them loading their groceries in a brand new Chevy Escalade.
NO WAY TO ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION!

If I wanted to live there I would find out how to do it legally. The problem is not immigration it's the illegal part of it. Why would we want to help people who want to start off their life here by breaking our laws.
