Countries have a national product that they contribute to the world. As far as products being made, a lot of them are made or assembled in China or Japan. What is mexico's product or contribution to the world?

The disturbing things about this question is its implication that Mexico must produce some consumer product for Americans to buy in order to be important.

Millions of people live in Mexico, live full lives, raise families, earn their living and are members of a global community.

Mexico is also a very influential country in the rest of Latin America.

If you really wanted to inform yourself as to what products Mexico generated or what their industrial capacity was you could easily determine that kind of information on the internet.

I suspect your real goal was merely to disparage Mexicans.

Instead, you have manged to paint yourself as the quintessential "ugly American".

There's goods made in Mexico, the last alternator I bought was made there, they make a bunch of stuff, electronics etc.

Mexico's got a lot of social problems, right now. Having more jobs, more schools, and so forth will help them to improve their overall standard of living. Mexico's actually got a respectable 1 trillion annual GDP, probably more, by now, they have the building blocks of success, but the stumbling block of not having enough people be active in their own country's direction.

I've met a lot of mexican people, actual mexican citizens, and they seem to be all right people. There's this mess with the border, though...
