OK, I'm going to list offenses...mind you this is a Christian University (not nearly as strict as Bob Jones University).

1. A student was caught in a picture on Facebook with one of those red Solo cups. He has to meet with a commitee because they automatically think that he was drinking alcohol on campus. He is underage, but he was just drinking pepsi.

2. A girl kisses her roomate on the cheek, and they take a picture. The school calls them to a committee and says that they performed lude conduct.

3. A student spoke up on the schools recent meal plan change, which cost us $300.00 so that WE ARE LIMITED in the amount of time between meals. He was kicked out of Student Government, and is also going in front of a committee.

4. The school also takes our passwords for Facebook, and goes on our accounts, and looks through EVERY SINGLE PICTURE. They also look in our e-mail accounts.

There are many more instances. These are things that have just recently happened (like 1 week).

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." - 4th amendment to the constitution

President Bush is determined to spy on us without a court order. Let's get something straight; neither I nor any other liberal I know of has any serious objection to government eavesdropping in the legitimate pursuit of criminal activity, including potential terror attacks.

Here's the problem. Bush first said that warrants were obtained for all wiretapping; that was false. Now he says that we're at war and he doesn't need a warrant. But why won't he explain his reasons to an appropriate court and get a warrant? How are we to know that he's not spying simply because he has a "gut feeling"? Or for political reasons or even for personal enrichment? Should I trust him? Should anybody? The constitution says that we don't have to; he must satisfy a court that there is probable cause to believe that the person being wire-tapped might be doing something wrong.

I don't trust the government that much - regardless of who the President is - that's why the constitution says what it says.

If a President has that kind of authority over us then the nation the founders created is dead and we are merely feudal vassals. It makes little difference to the serf whether he's enslaved by a domestic tyrant or a foreign one, the revolt will be the same.

I met this "entertainer" in Orlando in July. We both are 22. I spent about 6000 on her during this 1 month. I came back to my college in PA. I promised her I would visit her soon and often. Since August 1st, we have consistently talked over the phone. She asked for money a couple of times and I sent her about 1000 more through western union. I went to see her again for 2 days on my birthday in September 3rd week. I gave her a 1000 more for a day just coz I loved her. We would talk on the phone and she would be all "baby, I love you" etc. This weekend, on Oct. 7th 06, she asks me to give her 500 to pay her rent or she will be kicked out. I got it from my bro and gave her and told her since its my brothers', to pay it back. She now has not called me since sunday, Oct. 8th or picked up my calls. Last night, I called her 12 times in 12 hours, once every hour just to get a hold of her. Tonite I plan on calling her once every 30 minutes.
AM I HARASSING HER?
wHAT SHOULD I IN THIS SITUATION?

My husband is abroad and I have filed proper papers to have him allowed to return to America with me. I lost everything I owned due to Hurricane Katrina (even my job last year). I have been told because i am a victim of Hurricane Katrina that he will not have to have a financial sponsor because i did not have a job for three months last year and my income from last year was below poverty guidelines. I have been told that i am exempt from getting financial sponsor due to circumstances beyond my control. Please respond if you are an immigration official or am immigration lawyer. I really love my husband and I cant go to live with him there because i have my kids here and in school. I am an American citizen.

This is for future reference, as right now I am in no position to buy property, however, I do intend to be, and with the current state of the government, abusing and disrespecting the right of property left and right, I should think it would be useful to have absolute ownership over my land. In what states are there provisions to purchase land under allodial title, and what are these provisions, how would I go about doing it?

Think about it...that many people, all that equipment, the fuel costs for that amount of time plus the amount of time we have been there already. How is all that getting paid for. I'm sure that taxes will be a common answer, but everyone was complaining about taxes way before the Iraq war...in fact taxes are always a factor. But this is way to significant, than to just say taxes will pay for it. Some one please give me a good answer as to where all this money to pay for this war comes from....also please include what you thing the money could have gone toward if we had only gone to Iraq for a short time, like in the first gulf war. Also please keep in mind, I'm not saying lets pull out or lets stay in, this is only a financial question.
