Certainly -- if the Army will have you back.
It is a great experience. Don't listen to the whining of scared cowards that know not of what they speak.
You might have some problems if they let you out on a medical. If they give you headaches about it, try the reserve and/or guard. They can have lower standards.

If you are sure that you knee is healed then I would strongly consider it. I assume that the reasons you had for joining the Army in the first place were good ones and haven't changed.
When I went through the Fort Dix Ashcan I saw a lot of people that were hold overs, people who weren't able to finish Basic Training because of a medical reason, like weight, or physical damage.
This was in the 80s when the Cold War was going strong. I had some very good times and some bad when I was in the Army. Why don't you click on my Avatar and email your email address (I don't want to post it here) then we can talk.
What is your MOS? What is your starting rank? Give me the highlights of what you have done in basic so far and I might be able to give you an idea what to expect? Did you go through rifle training yet? We did our long marches after a day of shooting and I found out that Fort Dix had a lot of sand, and that was hard to march through. Are you going through Ft. Dix?
My first assignment was in Georgia near Hinesville. I served for 8 years and could have some advice. Since I had a little college before going in I started off as a PFC, but I didn't find out until I was overseas just how bad the chance of promotions were for my own MOS.

Marcus doesn't know what he's talking about, the Army has the fastest promotions. But i do think Coast Guard would be cool, but i'm Army. It just depends on the person, you gotta have a good attitude and willing to serve this Country if it means putting your life on the line. You will meet some of the best people and become friends for life. It definetly has its up and downs. i say go for it, GOOD LUCK!

My son is getting out of the army next month, after 4 years, and two deployments to Iraq. He doesn't want to reinlist AT ALL. I hear the Air Force is much better. My brother was there for 4 years, and says it's much esier, and you are treated better Good Luck

Nah. Try to enlist in the Coast Guard. It's a lot smaller and better. Better service. Move up a lot faster in rank. I went from E - 1 to E - 5 in 2 yrs, 4 months.

Are you Ok with the fact that there will be a very good chance of being sent to Iraq and/or Afghanistan, perhaps repeatedly?
If that doesn't bother you, then you probably should, since you were going to do so anyway.

Only you can answer that. You will have my support if you do and don't let all the negativity get you down, most people in America will be rooting for you.

Dude, talk to your family and your girl friend. Don't ask for advice like that on the Internet.
