OK, I'm going to list offenses...mind you this is a Christian University (not nearly as strict as Bob Jones University).

1. A student was caught in a picture on Facebook with one of those red Solo cups. He has to meet with a commitee because they automatically think that he was drinking alcohol on campus. He is underage, but he was just drinking pepsi.

2. A girl kisses her roomate on the cheek, and they take a picture. The school calls them to a committee and says that they performed lude conduct.

3. A student spoke up on the schools recent meal plan change, which cost us $300.00 so that WE ARE LIMITED in the amount of time between meals. He was kicked out of Student Government, and is also going in front of a committee.

4. The school also takes our passwords for Facebook, and goes on our accounts, and looks through EVERY SINGLE PICTURE. They also look in our e-mail accounts.

There are many more instances. These are things that have just recently happened (like 1 week).

Just to clarify folks, the stuff that's been going on is all new. It all started this semester. I'm a Junior, and I've been satisfied until now. Now they are cracking down on....really nothing.

1. They can't prove he was drinking alcohol, so he's innocent until proven guilty.

2. That's just stupid, but it is a Christian university.

3. bullshit

4. They can't just take your password for facebook, you have to give it to them. They can look at the email because they gave it to you and they run the server. You also probably signed some technology contract saying that they can and not even realized it, most colleges have students do that.

Wow. So you picked this school because you thought it had a great business program, but really didn't look all that closely at the way the administration treats the students. Now, after a few weeks, you are shocked that a PRIVATE INSTITUTION can do whatever its board of directors wants to do.

Education is wasted on some people.

Want to make it real interesting? Start a "fantasy blog". Post real things that go on at the university so it looks real. Then add the fantasy stuff like how the committee members were seen at a local strip joint stuffing dollars in strippers G Strings. Maybe you can post things about how you are afraid to be in the same room as Father Smith as he stares at your crotch/breasts or whatever. Find sterile Internet connection or one that will make you anonymous, such as TORPARK. Create a bogus external account for e-mail. Send and receive your mail from there so the school can't get to it. If they are key logging your PERSONAL computer, take off the gloves. Keylog computers yourself.

Well, I would say that they're concerned with your moral life. Which is good, but they are a little overboard. I mean, you're in college! You should be allowed to make your own decisions.

Wow, please tell me what school this is, even if you have to email it to me. When you've done that, please tell me why in the world you would want to be in a place like that? You getting a free education? My guess is that you're paying top dollar to be treated like that. The customer is always right...
