Think about it...that many people, all that equipment, the fuel costs for that amount of time plus the amount of time we have been there already. How is all that getting paid for. I'm sure that taxes will be a common answer, but everyone was complaining about taxes way before the Iraq war...in fact taxes are always a factor. But this is way to significant, than to just say taxes will pay for it. Some one please give me a good answer as to where all this money to pay for this war comes from....also please include what you thing the money could have gone toward if we had only gone to Iraq for a short time, like in the first gulf war. Also please keep in mind, I'm not saying lets pull out or lets stay in, this is only a financial question.

We of course all pay for it in the end through our taxes. Short term, our national debt is growing at an alarming rate to pay for the war, to companies like Halliburton with no-bid contracts. Is it surprising Mr Dick Chaney is a former executive/current stockholder in Halliburton? Anyway, to pay the national debt back, taxes are raised. Defense is the single largest destination for tax dollars, a huge chunk (ie trillions) of it go into a sort of "black hole" where even congress doesnt know what the DOD is spending it on. Of course if we hadnt gone to war at all, we could be spending that money on cleaning up our streets, providing better education for our children, giving back to the environment, and helping people who were abandoned by their government after a major hurricane destroyed everything they had. Just a thought..

The people of the United States will pay for it threw their taxes.
Mostly the middle class, and those poor that can pay taxes.
The rich have loop holes and congress refuses to close those loops holes due to the benefits they get.
Its plain and simple, you want to stop it, stop allowing professional politicians in Washington.
We need a two term limit on all of them, White House, congress on down the line.
Until that is done...Government by the PEOPLE for the PEOPLE is lost, and only self interest groups will rule.

Don't get me wrong, I support military actions against terrorism, and that Includes saddam.
State sponsored terrorism is war.
Taxes attempt to pay for it, but the amount of money the US spends is incredible
We have been in debt since the revolutionary war.
Our national debt is increasing at a frightening pace, and our politians are too stupid to control it.
