This is the greatest nation on the face of the earth. I love the United States. I am proud to be an American. We strive to bring our wonderful opportunities for health, education and prosperity to the underprivileged in the US and through out the world. We are leaders in all areas of life and I for one wouldn't want to live anywhere else. The strength and beauty of this nation lies in the fact that even the most vile dissenters are allowed to speak and if they can do so in legal, peaceful terms, with out hurting others even act on their beliefs. We are improving with every generation and I hope to be able to contribute in a positive, joyful, and creative manner to bring enlightenment to all people every where.

I think that generally we are OK, however there is a sizeable group of people that seem bent on harming our country by attacking the President every chance they get, regardless of whether what they say is true or not. It's called Bush Derangement Syndrome, or BDS for short.
They don't give a rat's *** if we fail, as long as they can "get" Bush or make him fail.
There used to be a saying that politics stops at the water's edge. No more. Heck, we even have al-Quaeda parroting the Democrat talking points now in their videotaped messages.
To Robin W, you must be very young. Trust me, things were far worse in the late 60's through the 70's. Then before that, the 30's and early 40's were even worse. We are living in a paradise now compared to those times.

Too undesirable what you're saying isn't actual. If the U. S. is the main hated us of a why do 1000's of human beings daily DIE attempting to come back right here illegally. Why is 10% of the inhabitants right here illegally. If it become extremely hated, human beings could ward off it like the plague. Meethinks, you have an extremely extreme inferiority complicated and that's the reason you're making the statements you do.

As someone who has traveled all over the world, I know we have it good in the US. We are not perfect, but our quality of life is much better than in most countries. Having said that, I believe our society is heading for extinction. Pogo was right: "We have met the enemy. And he is us." We are destroying ourselves. We have told God to get lost, mixed up our priorities, and have become a culture of self-centered, selfish wimps.
We buy everything the mainstream media sells us; we cannot think for ourselves. Liberals promote class envy by punishing those who work and earn their money by taking it away and giving it to those who refuse to work. Liberals feed off of those with a victim mentality and an attitude that government owes them everything. We have dumbed down education to the point that Americans are now too lazy to learn, work, and think. We call evil good and good evil. We are facing the possibility of Liberals (not Democrats) taking over the House and Senate, which will result in higher taxes for EVERYONE, a ridiculous presidential impeachment attempt, the introduction of socialized medicine (which doesn't work), and a socialist agenda in general.
We can be a great and powerful nation, but if we continue to turn our backs on the God of the Bible, we WILL fail.

I think today was a good day. I think Bush is starting to understand his job. He is seeking multinational support and he stopped antagonizing North Korea (didn't call them part of the axis of evil).
I think his behavior today could lead to a position as playground monitor at an elementary school. A position that I never thought he could handle until today.
Yep. Today America might be turning a corner.

I love this country...but i guess its just like the guy you marry...for better or worse...lol. There are alot of things happening that i dont like at all. I do think we are being over taken by all the politics of it. I hate to see the people suffering to make ends meet because they have to choose between medicine they need to live or food. Thats just sad to see.

I think when I'm traveling to think twice before I say I'm an American. They are really starting to hate us outside of the country. I love this country, but I'm not as proud as I used to be.

i believe the americans are bullies that only believe in themselves. we tend to force ourselves onto other countries in the name of human rights. i dont understand why we should believe we are always right. in other areas though, america, overall, is probably one of the best (if not the best place) to live on earth. we are indeed the land of opportunity. however that causes alot of problems with the system as well.

US is still a solid country except for the hardcore politicians who are bickering making factions out of the people for their interests.
