Gaining citizenship in the U.S. is almost impossible. Is this an attempt to hold the people of the Philippines from leaving thier country for a better life than what the goverment of the Philippines can offer. Is the present goverment of the Philippines a dictatorship or one in the making.

There was a time that it wasn't against the law and wasn't considered such an awful thing. Do you know the story behind it?

My ex husband has not seen our children since the beginning of this year, he is supposed to see them every other weekend. He doesnt call them or have any contact at all. I do recieve child support only because it is garnished from him. I have no way of contacting him if need be and I was issued a no trespass order from the police due to him. So I am sitting here with my hands tied. I do take them where we are to meet for his weekend visits and he doesnt show. How long do I have to endure this from him? I dont have the money to take this to court but I dont want to be at fault. My question I guess is what ground do I stand on and what is the law of desertion in Iowa. I have looked to no avail on the web and I am very concerned with this. I believe this falls in the desertion catagory, however, I am not a legal representative. Please help. My kids dont even want to communicate with him or see him at this point(their choice)

If I pay a couple of kids to stand outside a company on the sidewalk and hold up signs advertising another company that pays better...is this illegal.

I know it's in bad taste but it's just a question and I want to know if I'm breaking the law in California

Thanks.

I was arrested for a D.U.I last Friday. I KNOW im innocent, I pretty much no I was not illegally intoxacated. However, If for some reason my blood test comes back even one percent over the legal level and I have pleaded innocent. What will happen if I am found guilty. I already know I will have to revoke my Liscense, and do 48 hours in jail and D.U.I class, but will there be a penelty on top of that for pleading inncocent, and vicea versa, If I plead Guilty and the results come back that I was not legally drunk, What will happen after I pleaded guilty? I made a bad choice. But please help me if you know.

They have discovered that they have deep sea oil fields that would be a windfall for all of Cuba!

How long until the Bush Administration 'discovers' that Castro is an evil dictator with WMD's, and the Cuban people must be 'liberated'?

A while back (last week?), a telemarketer (I think it was a financial group) called me at a number listed on the National Do Not Call list. He said that he was interested in me personally (after talking to me for less than a minute...*ponders*). Today, he called back and I asked him to remove me from his company's list and that he was violating the law by calling. He reiterated that he was calling for personal purposes. I said to please stop calling and that it made me uneasy. Are there laws to regulate this kind of behaviour? Are telemarketers allowed to glean phone numbers from their company's list and call people for their personal entertainment? And I'm not sure if it matters but he may not be from the United States (where I am) but the company headquarters are in the U.S.

(Sorry, I didn't know which category to place this question in. Nothing quite matches.)

Does anybody else watch talk shows such as Lars Larson, Bill O'Reilley, Michael Savage, etc. Aren't you enraged at what liberals have done to America? When do you think we can get rid of all these liberal fanatics who live in their own little fantasy world and make America what it used to be?

***and please, if you are a liberal, don't give any of the usual liberal cr@p***

First, the few leaflets that were dropped were more for public relations than to save innocent people.

Secondly, the Israelis already bombed roads, bridges and airports so the people have no means of escape.

Thirdly, what abouit the poor and infirm? How can they leave and where could they go?

I guess you would have to break that question down into two parts - 1. There were no rockets being fired from that village, and the village was randomly attacked. 2. There were rockets fired from that village, and the civilians were caught in the crossfire.
Let me provide my answer first:
1. The Israelis, and anyone for that matter, would be committing murder to target non-combatants. I think that point goes without saying.
2. If there were rockets being fired from that village, than they were justified in attacking those launchers. It is a lose lose scenario - if they attack, civilians will be killed, and those scenes will be played out in the media - a propaganda victory to the terrorists. If they don't attack - they sanction the use of civilians as shields, ensuring their continued use, and ensuring Israel will not be able to defend themselves. They have no choice but to defend themselves, and the blood of civilians is on Hezbollahs heads.
What do you think?

No one likes war (truly). If you deny that you are either a joker or a sadist (or some variation on that meaning). But, I don't see any resolution to the current geographic-religious combination that is glued together in that region. These people will continue to lob missiles and human bombs at each other, and possibly nukes, and when oil dwindles (yes, my friends, it will, sooner or later) the issues will become even more compounded.

Do we give up trying for peace? Should we launch a war to end all war in that area? Do we keep playing this same game, hoping it will all go away? So many questions, and I don't see any good answers. What do you have?

Prefer to hear from mature answerers only. Just your thoughts, your worries, any good solutions you might have. I don't need anything from Revelations though!!

Thanks! And for those in the US/Canada, I hope you have a great night tonight! And for those elsewhere, I hope you just have a great day!
