I visited a Lebanese man today as part of my job. This man, very polite and pleasant, suddenly became agitated. The work we were supposed to complete today had become unbearable because previous to my arrival he had just found out that family members had been blown to smithereens by Israel fighter jets. Body parts of his little nieces and nephews were strewn around the street.

Where is the justice in this? Why does Israel continue to attack helpless civilians? First they destroyed their means of escape (airports, bridges and roads) then zeroed in on the population.

Is this fair?

Lies, greed, abandoning New Orleans, warrantless spying, illegal invasions of innocent countries, torturing & indefinitely detaining innocent humans who haven't been convicted of anything, exposing undercover CIA operatives, supressing dissent while claiming to fight for democracy, ignoring extreme poverty around the world.....the list is endless!

Bush, Condi, Cheney & others are former heads of oil companies. We have nothing but greedy oil men & women steering our country into disaster.

WHY ARE WE SO COMPLACENT? The only way things will change is for everyone at the grassroots level to demand real leadership. Peace, justice, ending poverty, diplomacy, cooperation...why have we ignored these and who will stand with me in calling for change? The world is waiting on Americans to act.

if you live in poverty, and you want to do something about it,, explain how these so-called "illegal aliens" can come to the US legally.
And that's only for ppl who want to work, not ppl who want to be tourists.
SO many ppl think that mexicans and other hispanics come to the US for a vacation or for fame or whatever else, the only reason they come is for work . work=money=education=betterlife

How are we going to vote for the next election? Who's side do we take, most of us are blue collar workers and those are the jobs the immigrants are after. We need to come together in our communities and have some solutions.

I was so sad today because at the mall, a Hispanic woman asked me in Spanish if I could call a cab for her on my cell. It was 100 degrees out and she was holding an adorable baby boy. I noticed while I was calling that her face was covered in bruises, and she had a black eye. I asked her if her husband hit her, and she said yes, that he had beaten her during an argument. I know that the lady is not a legal citizen, because she told me what her husband does for a living. Can an illegal alien get protection from her husband? Especially since there is a little boy involved.

As Christians (or other religions) we have a basic responsibility to insure that every person has a consistent and quality ethic of life from conception until natural death. Some argue that stem cell research kills unborn children, and naturally murder is the worst encroachment on life. Others argue that those cells are made in a petri dish and would not have naturally become children, and there is a moral obligation to insure the best quality of life for the elderly by trying to cure or treat debilitating diseases. Someone I know was recently caught shoplifting, and she is 15 years old. When she was caught, the police were going to just release her to her parents, but she kept lying to the cops about her dad's number and address because she was scared for him to find out. When they finally did get the correct info, they released her to her dad, but the officer arranged for her to do 4 hours of community service, not for stealing, but for lying to him and wasting his time. Do you think this is right, or do you feel that there should be harsher consequences to deter kids from repeating these offenses? When my daughter was 6 she stole some candy from Wal Mart and I didn't know it until we got home. I took her back to the store immediately, and made her return it to the service desk, and I then I got the store security people to take her in the back of the store and threaten to call the police on her and they scared the sh*t out of her. I also grounded her, and whooped her butt when we got home.
