Well I feel sorry for Mr. D already. His recruiter has already lied to him telling him that the Army is the longest. Those recruiters sure know how to pump up their branch of service. The Marines are the longest at 13 wks. Mr. D should rethink his decision about the army and go for the gusto. Shouldn't everyone strive to be the best????? USMC all the way.

Marine Corps Boot Camp is the longest for initial training. 13 Weeks. After this, 5 weeks of MCT ( Marine Combat Training ) Basically More field stuff including advanced weapons ( ie: .50 calibur Machine Gun, M249 SAW, etc ) and land navigation. AFter this, your MOS ( Job ) school. Depnding on what you do, your school can last from 6 weeks to 2 years.

The USMC has the longest initial boot camp (known as MCRD). It's 13 weeks long. There are other additional training evolutions past that (MCT-Marine combat training) and then depending on your MOS, there will be further training evolutions out to 24 months. If you are asking about the 1st part traditionally known as "boot camp", it's the Corps. Semper fi !!!

Marine basic training is 14 weeks long, Army basic training is 9 weeks long, Air Force and Navy basic training are commonly referred to as Jokes.
Also, Jacob D. is incorrect, the timetables he listed include AIT (advanced Individual Training) which is different than "boot camp". In boot camp you have little to no privileges, once you reach AIT you're treated as a soldier, instead of a recruit.
