How are we going to vote for the next election? Who's side do we take, most of us are blue collar workers and those are the jobs the immigrants are after. We need to come together in our communities and have some solutions.

I'm so tired that any time a "white" person says that they're against illegal immigration or speaks out on it, they're immediately labeled a racist.
My family for one, is made up of several races. My family is mostly Native American & caucasian, however, we have Hispanics, blacks & even asians in my family.
TRULY being against illegal immigration is being against those who break our laws to come into our country (& continue to do so while being here), it has absolutely NOTHING to do w/race. I wouldn't care if you were Canadian & came to my country illegally. The fact remains that you came here illegally & are breaking the law & aren't paying taxes for things that you are using that require tax money to fund.

sorry i know that i am not African American but i could not pass up this question!! well i am Mexican and i am not condoning breaking the law but i do feel that the circumstances should be considered!! these people are trying to get help and they have run into a dead end so now the only thing left for them to do in order to literally survive is break our laws. I know that it is wrong but just by giving them a free ride to VISIT their homeland isn't going to solve the problem because i assure you that so long as they are struggling and have no help or even a chance of getting help from us they will continue to break the law for their survival. I don't know how everyone will vote but i really hope that their votes will not be out of hate or racism. now about getting the Americans jobs trust me any American can get hired before an illegal i mean common who wants to hire someone who doesn't have an education and doesn't know English? and the jobs that they do get trust me you wouldn't want to do. I agree that we do have to come together as a community and find the right solution but one that will help not just one that will solve the problem temporarily.

Jesus...........the jobs that "illegals" are doing are not being snatched away from BLACKS. That is racial crap.
And those who posted that or even remotely agreed with that are bigoted fools.
I don't see MOST as blue collar workers......I don't see them "fighting" for the jobs that NOBODY else wants. All the incredible African-American people I know.....work hard in VERY good jobs......MOST ARE RETIRED from one and working another, several have prosperous businesses that support two to three children who attend college.
Please don't downplay the goodness of the incredible African-American society......ALL OF YOU do that enough here with the Mexican-Americans......we can only stand SO much hate.

Until you and everyone can stop seeing everything as an us against them world, things will never change! And let us not forget that all races have blue collar workers, as well as white collar. As far as the immigration thing goes, I believe they all need to be sent back. If someone disregards this country's laws to get here, they will do the same thing to get what they want when they are here.

Obviously, I'm mostly white! But I want to remind you this isn't a black or white issue, it is an illegal one. Many whites, many Native Americans, many African Americans are all losing job opportunities.
On this issue we should simply all be Americans...because that is what we are...
I hope that the African Americans will speak out. The white Americans are getting beaten up by the racist rhetoric that the illegals are spewing...we truly need to join together...all of us...to preserve this nation.
By the way, my ancestor came here from England as an indentured servant who spent 14 years in "slavery" until his debt was paid. He was 16 when he came over....while he eventually got his freedom, unlike your ancestors, he still came here because he had no choice....that was in 1740.

Do not start getting all racist on the immigrants. It is what you, as a black person, have fought against and don't want white people to do to you.
I, as a white person, are against illegal immigrants. It is NOT racist to be against anything illegal. If you do not want them here because you are an American citizen wanting laws to be followed - that is NOT a bad thing.

You are right! It will be the African Americans who suffer the most. It is already happening! Jobs once dominated by black americans, are now being done by illegals! We must all band together, to fight this enemy of our country. Blacks,whites, legal mexicans, native americans,all must fight together! And we must WIN!

I have had to tolerate all types of insults to my people and thier accomplishments by people like Pres. Vincente Fox racist comic strips in Mexican newspapers not to mention being called a n----- by mexicans that don't speak english... i for one say we vote to illegal immigration a capital crime....

I think that Im more concerned of how they treat black people. I have had situations where they will go out of thier way to prove they are better than I. I dont think that should be.
