So here's the question the Republican Congress will put before the Senate:

"Over seven million Americans can have a raise of $2.15 an hour by raising the minimum wage, but only if we give a tax cut to 7,500 ultra-rich people at a cost of $753 billion dollars."

Senate Republican Leader Bill Frist has said that this will be the only vote he will allow on a minimum wage increase this year.
Here are some simple facts that can't be ignored:

* Someone working full-time for the $5.15 federal minimum wage makes just $10,700 a year. A single mom with two kids who works full-time for the minimum wage is about $6,000 below the poverty line.
* The federal minimum wage has been stuck at the same rate since1997. Since then, Republican leaders have raised the salaries of Senators seven times. Salaries of lawmakers have gone up by $35,000 -- almost three times the entire yearly income of someone on minimum wage.

Raising the minimum wage to $7.25 an hour adds up to more than one year of groceries, over 9 months of rent, a year and a half of heat and electricity, or full tuition for a community college degree.

I watched a "Discovery" documentary series about Navy Seals.
They were using real Navy Seal's equipment, including Mk V Special Operations Craft and Desert Patrol Vehicle, etc.
But I am just wondering if the Navy Seals in these movies were real ones or some actors.

3 weeks in, Hezbollah surprises with its might is destroying Israel.

Hezbollah rockets kill 13 Israelis today, 4 of them soldiers.

Israel can only kill women and children.

Hezbollah has been firing rockets as far as the West Bank, knocking out Israeli tanks and damaging 2 warships — and had plenty of time to booby-trap all of southern Lebanon. It is hardly a typical guerrilla group, equipped only with bravado and AK-47 assault rifles.

Three weeks into its defense war against Israeli aggression, Hezbollah has retained its presence in southern Lebanon, and its ability to keep firing rockets has been a source of surprise and dismay to Israeli commanders, officials and the public.

In addition, Hezbollah's use of relatively advanced weapons and the variety of its armaments have surprised U.S. military experts, according to current and former officials involved in Middle East policy.

government instituted killing can cost innocent lives. Why should governments kill people as they can not un-kill people when mistakes are made.
Death offers no chance for rehabilitation.
Where can there ever be a standard that decides pure evil acts that deserve execution.

I had a global express package sent to me from the US on the 28th of July, and have been checking the tracking ever since. It says it went into foreign (UK) customs on July 31st, and that's the last entry. There's absolutely no contraband in there, it's a bunch of corsets for a play I'm directing which goes up next week. How long do you think I will have to wait to get them? What might the problem be? Is there anything I can do?

We have stopped fighting within our countries... mostly. Yet our nations were once at war, tribes against tribes, even states against states. There is continued progress toward global excellence, but many people don't see it. Why the continued lack of knowledge?

Whenever the Zionists commit a heinious massacre against hapless children, women and men anywhere in muslim world, a staple excuse is given that terrorists MIGHT have been hiding behind them.

Why dont terrorists hide behind GEORGE W. BUSH and solve the problem for everybody.
