Too early to say, but I would select me is I had one person to choose because unlike polticians today, I have the intestinal fortitude to get things done. I am sure I would surpass FDR's 650 or so vetos as well. What I would outline ina campaign speech would go, or else we would just be at a standstill for four years. Integrity and doing the right thing trumps special interests, greed, and sefishness every time. That's how I see it.

John McCain, perhaps. Mark Warner, perhaps. It's easier to say definitely who should not be president. Absolutely not: 1) Al Gore; 2) John Kerry; 3) Wesley Clark; 4) Hillary Clinton; 5) Howard Dean (is that even worth mentioning?) Condi Rice would be fine.

Anyone who runs on his or her own political platform and who does not pander to the masses. We need someone to take a stand, and not someone who acts as a puppet for duplicitous policies. I would go with anyone in the Green Party. At least we know what they really stand for. I would also support a strongly convicted independent candidate. The two-party system in this country is failing us all.

What does it matter whom I'd like it will be, some idiot from each party that they say it is their time to run. It is unlikely they will have a vision for the country. Very few of our presidents have had any vision. In my life only 3 have. Eisenhower started the high ways to enable commerce. JFK started us on the technology road by directing us to the moon. Reagan ended the cold war by bankrupting the USSR.

A very wise person who is passionate about improving the quality of life in the world.

One with enough charisma and vision to start and win with a 3rd party which truly represents the interests of the common people.

Any combination of Zell Miller or Joe Lieberman or John McCain or Colin Powell

The middle needs to be retaken by bipartisan thinkers.

As of now I would prefer John McCain. I wanted him in 2000. He isn't as conservative as Bush and would allow stem cell research. If there was a stronger third and or 4th party base in the senate and congress I most probably would go in that direction, yet we all know the 2 party political machine won't let that happen.
