I think you are correct.
Bush is a madman that only has 2 more years in office to complete his Middle East take over. There is no way the American ppl would have supported any further invasion UNLESS Israel started it.
For some reason, the USA is very supportive of Israel. I am suspicious that this entire thing was a setup in order for Bush to complete his goal of conquering he Middle East.

Looks like an agreement between the white house and Israel.Destabilizing Lebanon is a part of the US plan, for Israel it is the simple idea to roll back Hizbollah. This has not been the typical response of Israel to hostage soldiers.Enter the US.The Israeli commanders believed it will be short and victorious.UNfortunalely there is no military solution for Hizbollah only a political one.The Lebanese and Arabs hate Israel, not Hizbollah and see Hizbollah in a very positive light. They are heroes.Israel's actions vindicates the need for resistance fighters on their border.

Iran does not be able to do plenty better than scratch the paint on a US army destroyer or minesweeper. They actual don't have the protection stress ought to to pass toe to toe with the USA of a. A conflict with Iran could be a "police action" or a "instruct of stress" or a "measured reaction" yet a conflict? No

The US, Israel solve the Iranian and Syrian problem in Lebanon because it's a country that don't have any self defense...I would love to see Israel going against Iran...After all they're the ones wanting Israel 'Wiped off the map'!
