Support Israel. They are one of the only true democratic nations, in a region surrounded by Islamic Militant states. They fight Muslim Extremists on a daily basis. If they fall, the war with extremists will not end their, it will continue until the more moderate nations are also Islamic Militant nations. Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan - these are all moderate nations which have suffered terrorist attacks from within. In case you haven't noticed - the Muslim Extremist problem is a worldwide epidemic.
In case anyone thinks the Muslim Extremist attacks on our land are purely about oil, or our support for Israel, here is a list of nations which have had recent attacks from within by Muslim Extremist groups - Spain, Chechnya, England, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Ireland, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, Phillipines, Australia, Turkey, India, Bangladesh, Greece, Bahrain, Quatar, Germany...
I am sure there are more, I am just going off the top of my head.

"Give" Israel the courtesy of defending herself from those Islamic Fanatics. I say "give" because we are not big brother, but we are a nation of laws, yet no perfect, but still THE BEST there is, thus we should stand behind any democracy and the right of anyone to live in peace. The second part of my answer is; travel please, visit other countries, and stay there for a while, so when you come back you will feel compel to kiss the ground you are walking upon, you will enjoy the simple things that many Americans take for granted, because they don't know any better. You question can be also answer in a different way. How would you react if you see a good friend being beating up for no apparent reason?

What Bush SHOULD do is tell Israel to stop all aggression.
What he WILL do is continue to back Israel. Why will Bush do this? Because he has to. If he condemns Israel, then that would be like condemning his actions in Iraq.
I also think he is using Israel as a pawn in his quest to conquer the middle east. There is no way the American ppl would have supported any further middle east aggression UNLESS it was to support Israel. See?

Attack Iran immediately. Crush them totally. Seize their nukes. Help Israel wipe Hezbollah off the face of the earth.
Offer Syria a choice, join the new democratic middle east...or die.

Support Israel like we have been. I think they're doing a pretty good job about using overwhelming force to end the war as soon as possible.

Nothing. It has been a problem for years. Its like bottling up your feelings. Eventually you will explode. The simple fact is that sooner or later they will have an all out fight. No jaw flapping will stop it.
Let the UN and EU handle it. They want to feel important. Let them send their troops into it and leave the US alone.

Why can't we keep our nose out of their problems? I do agree the people need help, and I think we should send aid. We do need to let them fight their own battles. They probably wish we would get out of there.
