The word "liberal" has been turned into a curse word that's spat out rather than said. We've been called stupid, godless and every other kind of insult. How do you feel about all that? Do you tend to hide the fact that you are liberal around others because of the negativity? And, please, I'm asking you nicely...if you are a conservative, please don't bother answering if all you are going to do is bash or insult. It's okay...I already know how you feel.

As a liberal I often wonder what it would be like, just for a minute mind you, to be a NEOCON imbecile.

Women identifying themselves as Protestants obtain 37.4% of all abortions in the U.S.; Catholic women account for 31.3%, Jewish women account for 1.3%, and women with no religious affiliation obtain 23.7% of all abortions. 18% of all abortions are performed on women who identify themselves as "Born-again/Evangelical".

LOL Looks like 70% of abortions are performed by "pro-life" Xtians (those that bomb clinics and kill doctors), compared to 30% done by the non religious. How's THAT for hypocricy, Cons?

I know its a bit morbid, and if I had any relatives that had any money, I still couldn't do it, but the thought crossed my mind when watching the news of a women who killed her husband.

If the person is convicted does the government take the inheritance. If they get 30 years in prison, do they get the money before of after they are released?

BTW, don't give me that "Every president believes in God" crap. That may be true, but every modern president also believed in the theory of evolution.

Who among you still clings to the hopes that it can't happen here? If so, is that the reason that some of you still cling to the idea that the Bush Administration has altruistic motives in Iraq and idealist motives for funding the Israeli war machine? How about the issues of Iran and Korea? Civil rights for homosexuals?
Is that why so many of you will not accept the possibility of complicity on the 9/11 attack? How about the multi-million dollar profit made by Halliburton (having close ties with the White House) in Iraq?

I mid east situation really bothers me.I've seen so many questions about WW3.I do know that the leaders from Germany and Italy back around WW2 were actaully Well Liked by America. It was Only after Pearl Harbor that things changed.
Back around 1970 America was friends with Iran.Almost 50 years later things have done a complete turn around.
I do not like what Israel is doing.I hear her claiming defense against poor condemned and doomed souls who have virtualy glorified fire crackers for weapoms compared to Israels military stregnth.
I do indeed have a higher power ar a God,but I am not swayed by esoterics.I see the fact that doomed people are being pummeled right now. War tends to be a racket and allies are constantly changing.
Every World War has a bad guy in the end. Also keep in mind the truth that HISTORY is written by the winners.
I really think that Israel is the trouble and instigter of the 3rd WW at worst.I think as time passes this country will be the proverbial WW3 BADGUY

At one point in time, every country was ruled by oppressive regimes who didn't listen to the masses, but slowly people were able to influence gov'ts and provide checks and balances- how?One guess is that in the old days it was easier to revolt against a gov't since there wasn't as large of a discrepency between military technology from the masses to the gov't.
Do warlords just keep toppling because of their own heavy-handedness until they start listening to the people- and that is the one that stays (like a kind of political evolution)?
