Women identifying themselves as Protestants obtain 37.4% of all abortions in the U.S.; Catholic women account for 31.3%, Jewish women account for 1.3%, and women with no religious affiliation obtain 23.7% of all abortions. 18% of all abortions are performed on women who identify themselves as "Born-again/Evangelical".

LOL Looks like 70% of abortions are performed by "pro-life" Xtians (those that bomb clinics and kill doctors), compared to 30% done by the non religious. How's THAT for hypocricy, Cons?

Remember DOLTS, that these are PERCENTAGES, not numbers. That means 70 of every 100 abortions are done by CHRISTIANS, who claim to be against it. It should be 0% if you claim to be against abortion. HYPOCRITES!

uh....there are a lot of pro-choice Christians in America. it's a stereotype that all evangelical Christians oppose abortion. and anyway, calling yourself a Protestant and actually practicing the faith are two different things. I bet you know a lot of people who say they were raised Christian but they don't live by it now.
You said it in your question -- women identifying themselves a certain faith. No one followed them home to see if they really are.
But what can I say? I knew this was coming. Just like the Christian church gets blamed for everything from slavery to the Holocaust, now we're being blamed for abortion too.

You draw a parallel between Christians getting abortions and conservatives. Your percentages do not attest to party affiliation. Could it be that the Christians seeking abortion are Democrats? If so, then your argument that all of the Christians involved in these procedures are conservative is flawed.

Well, like the person before me said, most of the US is Christian, so it would follow that most people getting abortions are Christian. Also, I'm sure that the shame of unmarried women becoming pregnant has something to do with it.

Maybe they were "born again" after the abortion. You really take a lot of glee from the mutilation and murder of infants.

even it those numbers ARE correct, could it be because the majority of the american population is Christian....that, however, has nothing to do with what political party they support or are a part of...
