How scary is that?

BTW, don't give me that "Every president believes in God" crap. That may be true, but every modern president also believed in the theory of evolution.

evolution was part of the creation of man. it is a growing and self correcting system.
so the theory, right or wrong, does not conflict or refute a god creation myth. if god can create a world, he can create it to change and grow.
this is just simple logic that has been overlooked in the debate.
a better theory is that of the gnostics, that a half-god, named Saklas is the thing that created the world and he is a messed up lesser god that did a bad job and that explains what we call evil and suffering
neither regular Christians of today nor scientists accept this notion so there are few people who debate it
I happen to believe it is true, based upon my logic and experience with the world
1.A true loving perfect god would not have created this bad world and so many bad people
2. Evolution is so ridiculous it simply does not and cannot account for the things I see around me. it is like the theory that monkeys will type out shakespeare if given enough time. yet there is enough evidence to suggest that the earth is older that 600 years etc so it does refute parts of the bible, but not necessarily the possibility that some godly intentional creation was involved

God is not a "magic man in the sky". But thank you for displaying your complete ignorance of the matter.

If evolution is fact, why isn't it happening today? Shouldn't there be thousands of species that are in between? Where are the half-man, half-apes? Where are the half-lizard, half-birds? Where are the half-reptile, half-mammals? Where are the fish with hands? Why aren't we all amphibians, as it makes no evolutionary sense to leave the water (75% of the earth) and restrict our feeding options to only 25% of the earth? Evolution is a theory, one with a lot of very large holes.

Why is "the every president (supposedly) believes in God" statement crap?

Your beef was about Bush believing in God. Everything else (creationism, transubstantiation, or whatever else) are just details.

It is possible to believe in God and evolution. I do. I'm not sure about his beliefs on the topic, and I'm not a big fan of his, but I don't think that this is enough of a reason to get him committed.
