hibridization is not working, it still demand vast oil rescources, home heating oil prices still out of control, oil companies making huge profits while we supposedly have a shortage, outsourcing causing importation of more products from overseas while the shipping cost to bring the products here increases. We are building forign econonies at the cost of small business and the loss of jobs to the struggleing working class.

"Cornyn said the government has only 90 full-time immigration agents focusing on workplace violations nationwide and that it is "no wonder that many Americans are skeptical about how serious the federal government is about enforcing its own laws." The number of work site arrests dropped from 2,849 in 1999 to just 159 in 2004, he said.

"The American people feel like they were scammed" in the last immigration reform, Cornyn said. "If we're going to effectively solve this problem, we're going to have to regain their confidence."

Scammed, is that how you feel?

I just saw on msnbc a validictorian I think her name was britney McComb her speach was edited before she gave it.
To not include god. In her speach she thanked god for her academic acomplishments.
Her mic was cut off becuse she read her speach as it was written.
Why is our president allowed to use god in speaches and high school students arn't?
It seems that Bushes use of god in speaches has the potentail to be far more polarizing.
Why is it a strict and seros rule for students and not for teachers?
Who has what rights and why?
I'm not a rights weirdo I just think it would be interesting to know why.
Does fredom of speach really matter?

If I were to shoot a Jewish person and take his wallet I would be considered a violent criminal, but wouldn't make the national news. However if I killed a Jewish person and had a shaved head and swastika tatoos I would be considered a horrible monster biggot and probably have a high profile court tv trial. But the poor Jewish guy would be just as dead in either case.

He claims to need to stay up late so as to provide educational funding.
However he claims he is no altar boy.
He admits to having had a problem with cocaine and drinking.
Perhaps he thought he could get away with it by throwing suspicion to others around his office.
My town had a proud past but I am not sure about bright future.

I think it's funny that people who pride themselves on being open minded would have such a double standard. If you take a conservative position, why do liberals revert to name calling and stereotypes. Why do they insist that people who live in the south are all stupid? That anyone who believes in God is extremist. That anyone who supports the war in Iraq is brainwashed. Why doesn't their "tolerance" include tolerating views that they don't agree with? Is that tolerance at all? Why do they say they support the Constitution, but not the free exercise of religion, as stated in the first amendment?

1. What is the USA Military's "JOB" in Iraq?
2. What qualifies as Getting the "JOB DONE"?
3. Since the poweful USA Military has been unable to prevent and reduce the violence in Iraq, realistically will the much less powerful Iraqi Army be able to "stand up & stop the violence"?

should they adopt the U.S zero tolorrence aproach. joyriders (who get caught) over here usually receive a (small) fine and a stupid short (sometimes suspended) sentence. courts won't even try them for attempted murder if they (joyriders) tried to mow down people on the streets!

Not Guns...but your Arms are needed!

This is a plea for civil disobedience while we still can. Today marks a day in history that every American should be ashamed of.

Mayor Ray Nagen takes yet another stab at the citizens of New Orleans with his order to send in the National Guard. The mayor's policy towards a militarized police state is unacceptable, and needs to be stopped.

Action must be taken to secure our lives, families and homes from these tyrants.

post here, post everywhere! let your voice be heard...spray-paint the buildings that have still never been repaired.
