When will the governments of the world realize we have to work together to make things better for ourselves?

Do you think it can happen before its too late, before we kill each other and the planet, why or why not?

I doubt it, the governments are far to worried about getting even with their enemies, its just like a school yardfight really........It doesnt matter what the little man says as he can jump and down screaming 'look at me', 'look at me' until the cows come home, and they will still be too busy fighting in other countries, polluting the airways, and our relationships with others countries, spending the national debt money on stuff they dont need, before they take any notice of what they are REALLY doing, at this point in my life i feel , quite relieved that i havent yet had children, as i dont want to bring them into a world where they may not survive there 20th birthday, because the planet will have exploded through all the waste and garbage this worl has been covered in.

Poor soul. This question shows that you are ignorant of the way things work in this world. Governments are not the real power-rich men have the power, and most of them don't want us working together or making things better-they just want to use us and the planet for all we're worth.

I don't see it happening anytime soon, but I'm not worried about killing off each other and the planet. We've survived for thousands of years without everyone working together, and life has even improved.

I highly doubt it, but we can always keep hoping for the best. Countries are always too wrapped up in their own problems that we can never join together to fight things like global warming. Because the leaders of our own governments are only human, sometimes they can't see the big picture (even if we're screaming at them what to do).
