People are saying that the soldiers in Iraq are protecting and defending our freedom.....Hello they are half a world away. We don't live there. Does anyone think that the billions and billions the USA has spent on the war in Iraq could have been better spent here in America to prevent another attack. I'm sure it would more than cover the cost 100 times over.

Senate bill 160 wants to allow financial aid for non-resident students. Please note that the term "non-resident" includes illegal aliens.

FISCAL EFFECT : According to the Senate Appropriations Committee, the annual cost is estimated to be $2.1 million at CSU to serve an estimated 1,080 students, and $1.1 million at UC to serve an estimated 540 students.

Therefore, approximately $3.2 million per year to help about 1620 illegal alien students go to California universities.

Do you support this?

If I am an independent DJ and have to supply my own music can the company prevent me from playing outside the organization for a year?
Does the IRS consider me an employee because I am told when and where to work?
Can a company prevent me from having more than one job within the same field when there are no secrets involved ( as would be found in a scientific setting)?

We had Republican rule for about 6 years and very strong Republican rule in the last 4, my question is why anybody still likes them despite the mess congress and this president has done.
Can anyone tell me why they are satisfied with the current government? And please use good reasons on actual stuff the government did, like invade Iraq and not opinions like our President is brilliant.

Did I miss a meeting, or isn't war actually an agent for PROLONGING terror? When you control the dictionary of what constitutes terrorism, how do you ultimately win or end a war on terror, except by killing everyone who disagrees with you? Isn't the right way to fight a war on terror by ensuring everyone has a home, enough to eat and drink, an education and all the other things that help conquer fear, uncertainty and hatred? Just a thought...

On the top of the avitar it says "Jesus Loves You".
Like,so cool dude!
On the bottom it says "But I think yo'ure a (expletive).
The expletive in question is a four-letter word that starts with "C".

Does he realise the mistake he's made? Obviously not from a "man" willing to lie that Republicans stand for "blue-collar workers"?

I don't know which of the 2 is funnier!

Or at the very least a hypocrite. N. Korea is threatening to test a missile that could land a nuclear payload on American soil. If he is a man of action shouldn't he be massing troops to squash this threat? Where are all the conservatives who agree with the war in Iran? N Korea has admitted to WMD's. Isn’t this grounds to attack? This is America and the "axis of evil" has a gun to our heads! Why aren’t the conservative up in arms? He's scared... Wouldn't you agree?

I was at a club where my friends were buying me drinks. I went to by one round (6 drinks) and when I returned to close out my tab the bartender said it was 1500 dollars. I got in an argument and was thrown to the police. The manager of the club told the police I was drunk and that I didn't want to pay my tab. The police arrested me without question. I spent 26 hours in jail because a prior warrant was discovered. I owed 1400 dollars for another fine that I assesed two years ago for a DUI that was reduced to a wreckless driving violoation. With this conviction I was placed on probation. Any alcohol violation would violate my probation. I had two seperate court dates. My public defender advised me to plead not guilty, because when I was arrested they only took one measurement of alcohol. (B.A.L. .28). I paid the money owed the day I went to court. The warrant has now been taken care of, but my question is what will happen if I am convicted of this violation and do I have a case?

Thou shalt not kill.

Looks good on paper, doesn't it?Try telling that to George W. Bush.
With over 2000 American soliders dead,I have a hard time believing that Bush is a "christian".

Oh I know, there will be a few spinners trying to turn this into some
"liberal/gay/ted kennedy thing",or whatever. But what Bush claims to believe and what he does are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS.The word for that is HYPOCRITE. Why are people crying about "morals" with a president that has disgraced this country so badly?
