Thou shalt not kill.

Looks good on paper, doesn't it?Try telling that to George W. Bush.
With over 2000 American soliders dead,I have a hard time believing that Bush is a "christian".

Oh I know, there will be a few spinners trying to turn this into some
"liberal/gay/ted kennedy thing",or whatever. But what Bush claims to believe and what he does are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS.The word for that is HYPOCRITE. Why are people crying about "morals" with a president that has disgraced this country so badly?

I was just wondering that myself. Surely the war on terror is akin to "kill the sinner, stop the sin"? Way to go George...(slow, ironic clapping)

First, find a copy of the 10 Commandments in Aramaic. What it actually says is that "Thou Shalt not Murder".

Second, even though you don't want to admit it, we only have two choices here.

First Choice: withdraw from the world, endeavor to please everyone on the planet by portraying ourselves as the worst beings on the planet, allow anyone and everyone to attack us with no consequences, and then eventually die (the liberal plan).

Second Choice: stand up for ourselves. when someone attacks us, attack back. Say what we mean, and mean what we say. Understand that there is evil in the world and that it should be resisted. Understand that not all choices are without a price, but understand that that price must be paid. (the conservative plan).

I appreciate the input, but I would rather have some pride in myself and not have to spend the remainder of my days trying to figure out when the imams are going to get around to killing me. I choose Bush.

There will always be wars, and people will always die in them. I am not minimizing the individual loss of the 2500 soldiers that have died, but compared to other wars the numbers are not especially high. I think it's interesting that this is the only time I have seen a liberal on Yahoo trying to quote the Ten Commandments. You are a little selective aren't you?

"Thou shalt not kill" isn't the only Commandment Bush has broken, unfortunately. He also broke the Commandments that forbid lying and stealing. After all, he stole the election in 2000. Also, he lied so that thousands could go off to die fighting in an unjust war.

Unfortunately, if you tell some people that you love God, hate abortion, love guns, and hate gays, that's enough to get their support. Bush's "Christian" fundamentalist supporters have, unfortunately, been blinded by his outwardly "Christian", anti-abortion, and anti-gay rhetoric. These same people hated Clinton from the beginning, because unlike them, he didn't show any preference towards any one religious group, he supported a woman's right to choose, and he endorsed the rights of gays and lesbians. The head job in the Oval Office was only the icing on the cake. Apparently, according to "Christian" doctrine, it's worse to get head from someone other than your wife than it is to send thousands off to die in a war that's based on a lie.

because they want money, and war is money.corporations make all of those war machines and the government pays billions of dollars to those corporations, who have close ties to washington politics in both parities especially the republican party. once we pay the money for these weapons, we have to justify the spending by going to unjust, unprovoked wars. also rich company's like haliburton get fat contracts to rebuild the country after we have bombed and invaded it. haliburton has close ties ti dick chaney. so conservatives at the top brainwash the conservatives at the bottom by filling them with messages of fear and terror. we have made al qaueda stronger and have made the middle east a war zone that could turn into another vietnam. war is money and war also brings wall street stock market prices go up so the rich get richer while the middle and lower class kids have to fight the war. it is a shame.

Most Americans don't care how many they kill as long as they're foreigners. I think there will come a time when those of us in the rest of the world thank god for Al Qaeda and, perhaps China ,standing up to the US, depressing as that is.

Obviously some people are not very well informed of the radical muslim charter. Which is to convert the entire world to Islam. They have been on this path for the last 2000 years and have not been stopped. I for one am not willing to buy a prayer rug and face Mecca. Fight them on their ground or ours but fight them you must.

God has started wars in the past. Even in the Bible wars were fought in his name. The "pro War agenda" will be what keeps you and your family safe from yourselves. If you want to cow tow to the terrorists then they will just walk in and take over.
